not sure, would that be the manufactured date or the release date? does anyone have these to see an example?

Yeah, that's what a Nike rep is telling me right now. she also said "The date isn't too worrying, because it shows December 2008, and that date refers to when the shoe was made, so it's possible the shoes were made in 2008 and sold in 2009." so, this means that a nike employee bought these samples at the nike HQ, instead of how samples are usually given? These are Raging Bull 5's btw

Yah you can buy samples at sample sales and other ways, besides buying from ebay or resellers. But ever since that huge theft scheme involving large amount of samples, things changed a lottttt. But to my knowledge, you never really could buy any sample retro's because they were already gone probably before the sample sale started or probably wasn't even sold there. And there's hardly any actual samples being sold at samples sales at hq, mostly Nike ID stuff now and GR's

Yeah, buying sample stuff is kind of nerve-racking now, after that huge scandal. what are the rules on that, so as to not get put in jail and fined, haha, because i've bought samples from second hand stores and individuals before.

There really ain't no rules. As long as you're not, most importantly, a Nike Employee/Vendor you're good. Unless you know the shoes were stolen, and you still bought them. And if you do buy samples from a nike employee, NEVER DISCLOSED that you got it from a nike employee, to ANYONE
