Disney XD To Reboot ‘Ducktales’ Animated Series For 2017

Disney XD is revisiting Ducktales. The network said today that it has ordered a new animated comedy series based on the Emmy-winning series that aired from 1987-1990 as part of The Disney Afternoon daily syndicated cartoon block. The new series is slated to launch in 2017. Produced by Disney Television Animation, Ducktales will again star Disney’s iconic characters Scrooge McDuck, his grandnephews Huey, Dewey and Louie, and Donald Duck.

The new series will follow Scrooge McDuck, his curious and mischief-making grandnephews — Huey, Dewey and Louie — and the optimistic yet temperamental Donald Duck as they embark on high-flying adventures worldwide. Other beloved characters slated to be in the new stories are: Duckworth, Gyro Gearloose, Launchpad McQuack, Flintheart Glomgold, Magica DeSpell & Poe, Ma Beagle and the Beagle Boys (Burger Beagle, Bouncer Beagle), Mrs. Beakley and Webbigail Vanderquack.

“DuckTales’ has a special place in Disney’s TV animation history, it drew its inspiration from Disney Legend Carl Barks’ comic books and through its storytelling and artistic showmanship, set an enduring standard for animated entertainment that connects with both kids and adults,” said Marc Buhaj, SVP, Programming and General Manager, Disney XD. “Our new series will bring that same energy and adventurous spirit to a new generation.”

Damn kids, dont eem know how good they got it.

In my day a reboot meant you boot were on the wrong feet.

Man I loved this show it was one of my favorites as a kid, and I would still watch it if an episode was on.

I was also thinking that when/if I have kids I would buy blu-rays of shows I liked when I was young so they can enjoy them just as much as I did :D

I don't really like cartoons these days, but I would let my kids make their own decisions.

Would suggest to them though like Ducktales, Chip and Dales Rescue Rangers, Talespin, Gummy Bears, Thundercats, Darkwing Duck.

Ducktales was/is my favorite cartoon though I've seen every single episode.

I still remember that fool Apu who would steal and had that goose that turned everything gold.

I hope the animation stays the same just updated I don't want it to be like how modern cartoons are these days.

Hope they also bring back gizmoduck.

Spectacular Spider-Man was waaaaaaaay better than ultimate Spider-Man
Can't believe they cancelled it
Agents of smash is ok but only because we get to see hulk.........smash
That new avengers is wack to me compared to the one from like 2011 that they cancelled
Also just to jump to Cartoon Network for a bit
I'm STILL heated they cancelled young Justice :smh:

Oh and don't even get me started on how they cancelled teen titans
Though I must admit the new one is kinda funny and decent

Btw legend of korra is goat cartoon
Straight murks last airbender
Aang had tooooo many filler episodes
Damn near dragon ball z status with them filler episodes
Oh and I need a damn gargoyles reboot if anything
The storytelling in that show is soooo damm good and under rated

Never said any of those shows are the cream of the crop, but "trash" is typical internet hyperbole.

My kids have the OG Ducktales on DVD, so I'm sure they will be interested in the reboot.

Also that wolverine and the xmen was good too
Oh **** yall remember xmen evolution when they were all teenagers in school
Show was pretty good too
I remember that's where they first came up with x23 I believe

Yeah I bought my kids the ducktales chip n dale rescue Rangers and the darkwing duck series on DVD from best buy
They loved em
Plus it was cool looking back at the shows I loved
Can't front though
Some of the logistics were kinda bad
