2015 GENEVA AUTO SHOW - Ford GT to Start at $400k

The Koenigsegg Regard has no transmission.... They got all sorta trickery up their sleeves...

It's 2 million... But I think this could be the car that really puts Koenigsegg on the level of McLaren, Lamborghini, and Bugatti... It's luxury to the core, as insane of a car it is... If they manage to 50-100 sales, it'll be quite a money haul... If they could produce a 200-250K car, it'd put them in Ferrari territory...

Christian von Koenigsegg is a ballsy man... He's a true innovator and pioneer... He's got the drive to do it... IMO a Koenigsegg and Tesla marriage would be true game changer...

Regera video. No doubt about it the car is beautiful, and the carbon wheel design is just gorgeous (reminds me of the biohazard symbol). Shmee states it has 1800 horses but other sites are stating 1500. Which one is it?

Shmee said there is air flow capability in the front headlights?!! Wow that's next level.

Article on it

That's right. The 1,500 horsepower Koenigsegg Regera, almost certainly the world's fastest GT, has no gearbox at all. Meet the new era of direct drive.

Okay, so Christian von Koenigsegg has done it again. It's 9:24 am at the Geneva Motor Show, but I don't think anybody can top the Regera as far as insane engineering goes. I mean, 1,500 hp and no gearbox? I know the Prius has no gearbox either, but this is a whole new level. No need for more coffee, I was all ears.

Get this: Christian came up with an idea just eight months ago, figured out how to make it happen, patented the technology and now will build 80 Regeras priced at $1.89 million.3

Unlike the Agera RS, the Regera was not designed for track duty. Koenigsegg calls it the world's fastest luxury hypercar. Weighing 3,130 pounds dry and 3,589 ready for action, it's 330 pounds heavier than the RS mostly due to 44 pounds worth of sound deadening, electric seats, rubber engine mounts and a foldable rear wing.

The Regera has 1,500 hp thanks to a twin-turbo combustion engine producing 1,100 on pump gas, and three electric motors made by Rimac: one on the crank with 221 pound feet of torque, and two at each rear wheel with 192 ft lb. Thanks to that, you get torque vectoring as well.

Since the gearbox was replaced by a hydraulic clutch, the three lightweight electric motors and a nine kWh battery pack, Koenigsegg says they saved about 440 pounds compared to having a double clutch gearbox.

The rest is pretty much Christian's traditional recipe with a carbon fiber and aluminum honeycomb chassis, a carbon/kevlar body, active aero, massive carbon-ceramic brakes, hollow carbon wheels, a titanium exhaust system and the signature removable top.

Inside, you'll find the finest leathers with billet aluminum controls and Apple Carplay, and with 21 miles of pure electric range added to the mix, this truly is the most advanced sports car the world has ever seen.14

Honda has officially confirmed that its new turbocharged Civic Type-R is capable of completing a lap of the Nurburgring north loop in Germany.

Aston Martin Vulcan

For the Vulcan, Aston Martin takes a 7.0-liter version of its tried and true V12 and promises to extract over 800 horsepower from it. The engine is hooked up to a six-speed sequential gearbox, and the car features all of the other necessities for a full-bore track car too. The pushrod suspension, anti-lock carbon-ceramic brakes and traction control are all fully adjustable to create the perfect balance for any circuit. Underneath, there's a carbon fiber monocoque, and the body panels are also made from the lightweight material.

That Flowcell Tarantino is sexy af :pimp:

Really like that shade of green on the Aston, as well.

^ ^ ^

I actually wouldn't mind driving that as a city car. Looks like a mini off roader that will eat up any other cars on the road.

Fiat's Miata-Based Roadster Will Be Called 124 Spider

Auto Express also expects the 124 will dump the Mazda SkyActiv engines for some Fiat/Alfa Romeo MultiAir turbo motors, possibly with up to 200 horsepower.

not 100% sure if this pic is real or PS
