Exactly....I thought when he said that he clearly doesn't own both -- but then again he wants the preorders so they will be any and everything to get folks to bite.
 
I'm pleasantly surprised to see preorders (at least for sizes 11.5 +) sitting at 300.  Hopefully these won't be as tricky to get as this years previous 1s.

i think it's going to be generally hyped because its a Retro 1 (with possibly great quality)..but do consider that traditionally the UNC colorways have never really sold well.. It hasn't been retroed in "true" form in a long time so that could swing things in another direction..

It's hard to put this pair on the level of the Chicago's.. That shoe clearly has a bit of history and legacy that puts the hype in another category.. They actually had a segment on the Chicago 1s on ESPN the Friday before they released--I knew it was over then lol :smh:

I'm hoping these will be a shoe to double easy on.. but I wouldn't be shocked if it went either way..

If they are on Chicago level or not, double up is a must for me since my DS OG's got stolen.

These would be put in to rotation on a constant basis.
 
I think these will sell quickly. I am surprised I got black and whites on drop day too.

black and whites sat locally around my way.. i can't recount two of the spots I frequent having good sizes up until monday/tuesday after the release..

ironically the HoH near me actually sold a grand majority if not all of their baron 1s (also not a good comparison) in one day.. i would bust a blood vessel trying to determine the science behind these things lol.
 
These aren't appealing just to older heads because of OG

will get these for retail, maybe $10 more if someone hooks it up if I strike out but if not, I'm good

I'll be happy with my royal lows :pimp:

They releasing on a special day...for me that is.....Dope shoe but the colorway dont cut it for me...
 
I missed out on the sbb1s release and was subsequently gunning for these UNC highs as a consolation prize. But recently things have changed and I'm looking at this guys sbb1s. Might pull the trigger and because of that I feel less adamant on purchasing these. That might be an indicator of how this release will go. I think it's gonna be one of those day 1 and done situations. A lot of ppl want these that didn't get the sbb1s so they'll be out there, then there's jordan 1 fans, the NA suckers, the Carolina fans that come out the woodworks (reason why nc should have more allocation) and then finally the hypebeasts that saw resell prices and on foot poses all over their IG all summer of sbbs and chis and now want to ride that wave.

Even though I feel less inclined to spend another $160, esp if I buy these backboards, I'm still gonna try on release day because it'll always beat paying resale

considering the irony of sneaker allocations these days---i wouldn't be shocked that being in NC and in the triangle that we DON'T get a lot of these lol. There's only a handful of places that get NA Jordan 1 releases around here for starts anyway :smh: lol

Still shocked Northlake don't get 1s at all. I think they had lasers but who didn't have those?
