I dont see anything wrong with 'matching'
But 'overmatching' ie when the hat match the shirt that match the pants that match the socks that match the underwear that match the shoes....is tacky

Some of guys go way over the top with matching. I just picture some of you going to like the paint store and holding up the samples to your kicks until you get the exact color.
