LDR is a bit different but I found that we keep it interesting by making the effort to care. Meaning for example in regular relationships the girl comes and says "x,y, and z" happened at work to day. guy nods, makes a small reply, some sort of small acknowledgement. because we're in ldr we have to really work at especially when life is a bit dull atm.  So same example, instead of small response, ask questions, dig deeper etc. Not only does it help you to keep the relationship but it also helps you know each other at a deeper level because things you wouldn't normally explore, almost have to be talked about in order to not fall into a rut.

also its like fresh yambs because im not there all the time BUT when we were in the same city for about 3 months, it never felt old because I cared about her that much. her box was the only box that was interesting to me.
