agreed that these look much better than the db. but of course the name doernbecher trumps everything. for some strange reason the db collection is held on a pedestal. no one really even liked the db 1 & 2 when they came out but now that the beasts came look at the prices on those. they could make a doernbecher 11 with allover vomit print and it would sell for $1000+ the next day

Db 8s were beautiful!! (Literally love every color of the 8s OG and retro plus). These 3 peats def fall on the lower end of the 8s spectrum close to the sun's 8s but they are cool. Might catch em on sale somewhere.

DBs were few of the truly exclusive and limited pairs of Jordan's released back in 07-11 before everything became limited. Paers were limited to the hundreds hence the high resale. My personal favorites are the 1,3, and 6s. When I first saw them back in 2008 with a brotha on the tongue, I flipped out. It wasn't until recently I realized that all patent leather shoes ain't the move though.

Looks are opinion based so I usually back off on things like this.

But just because its limited doesn't mean its worth the asking price. Obviously you're letting kids do the colors, and that's why most of the DB collection comes out like a hot mess :smh: Don't care for the story, the reason etc etc. I wouldn't wear them crap anywhere because they're worse then Velcro sandals with white socks.

I'll eventually pick these up down the road if it's reasonable. Not bad at all
 
Every time I decide to get these I later convince myself that I should just double up on Aqua's. Either way $400 will be spread across for the two releases. One and the other or double Aqua's.
 
I actually really like these. Would consider painting the white to black though... anybody want to use their PS powers to mock that up?
 
I hate to ask another leather question, but the leather quality makes it or breaks it for me, and I still havent had any definitive answers... I keep getting conflicting reports...

Anyways, for those of you who have held these in hand, if you had to compare the leather of these to another Jordan, which Jordan has the closest leather type as the leather used on these. thanks in advance.

Got to hold these in hand today the leather is not that impressive especially filling after the unc 1's..... If I had to place these quality wise I'd say they were similar to the statue 9's that released this year or the hornet 5's... While not terrible it definitely isn't greAt just barely better than what we've been getting in the low top Jordan's this year... I'd put these quality wise below the Marvin Martian 7's

Slightly better, and I emphasize the word slightly, then the 2013 bunny's. I'm solely buying off the fact that playoff 8s were my 1st J in middle school, and is my favorite model.

The leather on the Martian 7s is the best I've seen in a long time. Soft and supple, loved it.

Thanks for the info. Im out if thats the case. That BS leather doesnt crease... it wrinkles like a piece of plastic. Smh Jb.
