Jordan Retro 8 "3 Peat" - October 2015

I mean as far as leather quality these aren't the best but overall they aren't that bad. Paint is good, no glue stains, no problems. My girl got these as my early birthday present and I'm pretty satisfied
 
ive yet to see these in person but im a fan from pics. ill decide monday and hopefully cop another pair of royal low 1s
 
These are one of the few non-OG colorways Jordan Brand has came out with in a while that doesn't look like a cheap factory variant from 2007. They have a very 90's vibe to them that I can appreciate. Hopefully these will still be on swoosh by next week so I can get them for cheap. 
 
Why was it so low key on this release? Was it the late release time? Or the CW that ppl aren't feeling? Or are ppl just broke? Thought there would be beasts dying to spend their money after striking out on supremes and not getting MAGs.
Imo the cw is dope. As nice as the bugs bunnys with that retro look. Nike and JB should keep trolling and release pairs at random times of the day

I personally think they are hideous. Everyone has their own taste though. /shrug

Also Jordan 8's are one of the least popular retro models.

personally 8' s are my favorite , something just looks off with these. the color blocking , to much white for me. waiting for the AQUA'S

yea its the color blocking. its just not as smooth as the other 8's the heel outsole should have been white, the purple circle on the ankle should have been white. maybe black straps? and the prototype fat jumpman is just weird looking considering we are use to the og released tongues

IMO, that bolded part is important. Back in 1992-1993, loud colors were still the fashion, and the three OG colorways reflect that. 

So like this "3-peat" colorway or not, it is IMO wrong to dismiss it as a modern "hype beast" concoction. It really is far closer to the spirit of the time that the OG 8s were released and would have fit much better as an OG release in early 1993 than the Chromes would have. The Chromes reflect a much more modern aesthetic.

In all honesty, most of the 3s that release in 2007 had good quality leather. The only thing that made them bad was thy excessive paint chipping on the midsole. Gosh those started chipping after 2-3 wears

Now the 4s that release in 2006 militarized/Mars those were bad in terms of quality. The lifestyle pair those had good quality (tours,mist blues)

Yea that chilling was horrible lol I think I bought every release that year all the black cat 3&4's and the pure 3&4's the fire red 3's the Mars 4's the military's, the tour 4's, the thunder and lightning pack, the mist blues and all of them had severe chipping on the midsoles , only ones I still have are the Lightning 4's & the tour 4's and that just because one is DS and the other I can't find the left shoe for [emoji]128514[/emoji]... It's in storage some where.

But yea all the leather 4's that year have inexcusable leather only shoes they were making quality were the LS shoes... Those tour 4's are still my favorite 4's off all time I love that speckled mudslide and that cool as rare air tag those definitely need a remaster
