It "looks" blue, but if you ever seen a pic taken in the 21st century, you should know its white.

dress definitely changes colors.... my wife and I were laughing saying how could anybody see black and blue and then 20 mins later I started seeing black and blue but she kept seeing white and gold :smh:

Have they ruled out the image being a gif lol?

and is the final verdict that the dress is blue and black but it was altered for most of us to see White and Gold?

Naw the dress IS white and gold.

It was definitely to keep people from remembering the anniversary of a shooting.

2012 also had a Gunman break into CT school and killed 20 children and 6 adults, dark knight rises shooting that killed >10 ppl, and jb released some of the worst quality retros in the history of the brand...

It was definitely to suppress Trayvon Martin's memory. :x

then the condescending "stay woke" and all that bs... :x they had to of been trolling

are u saying the picture link.from the original source changed? its black n blue, not an optical illusion, just PS rendering and changing the original source,

Bruh bruh bruh!!!

What if black people been gold this whole time?

there's no rhyme or reason as to why the color keeps changing for me. it's completely random.

Original pic is still white and gold for me.

The only time I've seen blue and black is when ppl have posted pics of a blue and black dress or that one gif where it changes.

Not once has it suddenly changed for me.

My explanation, I mean if you look at the background of the picture, it depends on your perspective. If the dress was outdoors and a shadow casts on it, it's a blue tint. But if the dress is indoors with yellow light bulbs, it will cast a yellow tint on the object. And by the looks of it the dress is actually indoor, with a yellow tint making the black and blue appear that way.

At first I saw white and gold though.

My homegirl showed me this pic which explained what I was talking about

The original image is in the middle. At left, white-balanced as if the dress is white-gold. At right, white-balanced to blue-black.

all depends on the lighting bruhs. it's blue.

Yall ******ed.

Lighting has ZERO to do with it because its a picture.

The lighting of the photograph is the same for everyone.

Now the lighting around YOU might have some effect on your eyes but the lighting around the actual dress plays zero roles.

That's the crux of it. Being an eye specialist I had a journalist from the BBC call me today wanting me to be on some news show if I could explain it. I told her I can explain how colors look different depending on the light (especially white balance in photos) but that has nothing to do with 2 people observing the same photo and saying they're different. That's just crazy.

in the end that dress ugly AF tho

its the lighting that plays a trick on your eyes. and over time after being screen shotted and filtered so many times it changed the lighting of the picture to appear white and gold

the dress is actually blue and black, even is on the store's site.

that gif up there is the perfect example. Watch it really hard, like concentrate on just the dress as the lighting changes. When its regular you seen black and blue, when the lighting changes your eyes adjust to let more light in and it appears white and gold

now look at the very bottom of the dress when the lighting changes you should be able to still tell its black and blue

I just took this picture to a room full of people and the majority saw it white and gold but there were a few that saw it black and blue. Weird

Optical illusion. Now I see both colours ...

As I was scrolling down I started seeing the black and blue ... No I hardly see the white and gold.

thats what i was saying in my post .. when u get to the bottom of the dress your eyes arent letting in the light from the background so you can see black/blue

even when you see white and gold its actually black and blue but the brightness drowns out the colors

and once you realize its actually black and blue in both pictures, your brain picks up on it. I havent been able to see it as white and gold again yet
