Tryna plan a trip to take my girl for her bday in June
Any tips would be helpful
Gonna probably take her to Waikiki unless yall got better ideas
Don't wanna cash out like that for trip or hotel
Wanna save most money for activities and stuff out there
Willing to after taxes spend at the MOST $2,000 on hotel and flight
But hopefully can get for the 15-1600 range
Not sure on how long either 4, 5 or 7 days
Also where can we do the luau thing
Is that at like the hotel do I need to do a fancy hotel to enjoy that or what
Please help with tips and advice PLEASE
I wanna snorkel luau and other stuff so preferably not spend most on flight and hotel
I can do a decent room if it can save a few hundred but I don't want anything janky
Please help guys

Just get a hotel a little off Kalukaua to save a few bucks.  Or heck, even at the ala moana hotel.  You'll still be walking distance from the shops/beach.

Luau: Germaines, or Paradise Cove.  Planny Groupons for Germaines a plus.  A minus for PC is it's on the west side, and if you aint gotta ride etc. That's quite a trip.

Snorkel: Hanauma Bay, but that's way crowded and you gotta wait in line/through a video.  So just go Sharks Cove, or Three Tables or something.

Eat: Helenas, Yogur Story, , Waiolas and Rainbows just to name a few toursity spots.

Either sfo, oakland airport or San Jose
Not sure yet
The cheapest flights I've seen are from San Jose 179 each way
Which is a cool price
Still tryna figure if I should do flight and hotel package
And all that but looking at this stuff is giving me a headache
Mainly cause idk what or where to do stuff
Which island I should go to or whatever
Plus I REALLY wanna do a luau
I also heard that paradise cove food is just ok as well as the entertainment

Book it through Costco travel. Super easy, when you add flight, hotel, car, etc. it will move the times around for you so it matches up.. Plus it's a good deal. If you don't have a membership, buy one for $50 and you can split it with a friend. Or always nice to give the extra card to your mom.

Go to the north shore for the shrimp trucks. In Honolulu try the lobster hot dog at Hanks haute dogs. Also on your stay if you can do it do the 7 days, 5 passes by too quick.

Try to get the diners, drive-in and dives app. Basically used that for all the places we ate at. Definite places to eat: boots & kimo homestyle kitchen and side street inn!!!

never been there, but I hear that it's more fun if you do less touristy stuff.

If you're feeling overwhelmed about planning the trip just remember, you still have some time.

Have fun OP, I'll be checking this thread out to learn for myself.

Yeah I just wanna chill
BUT I do wanna snorkel
And do a luau
Other than that I just wanna just chill on the beach
And have great sex with my girl in a new state

Stay away from that. ICE, BRAH.

Srs, Rainbow Drive Inn, Hike Diamond Head, Paradise Cove, and drive to North Shore for your first time in Oahu.

Not to thread jack but any island I should stop at for a day trip maybe two days

Yeah def do snorkeling do a hike if possible(I did regretted it cause am lazy and it was to much 8miles up 8miles down)

Ask your hotel what's available out there.

Here's just a few off the top of my head

Definitely check out side street and have their fried rice and pork chops.

If u wanna save don't stay in the heart of Waikiki. Amenities are nice but if u are not into all that and just need a room u can find some good deals outside. The modern is a nice hotel but can be slightly pricey. It's newer so that's nice.

Hike diamond head and the pillbox close to lanika. Hike pillbox in the morning before the sun gets too hot and then head to lanikai after to cool off. Used to be one of the nicest beaches in the world until too many tourists got to it. It's still nice tho. Sand is heaven there.

Make it out to north shore and Sandys beach. Be careful jumpin into the water if ur not good with the ocean. It can be dangerous for a beginner. Check out the shrimp trucks in north shore. There are a few good ones. Giovannis is the most popular.

Check out koolina and the lagoons and possibly the Disney resort if ur on that side. It's another place to just chill and more quiet than Waikiki.

Be careful of the homeless and crazies. They are everywhere in "town". Don't go into waikikis beaches.

Been here on Oahu for 10 years so if u have any questions feel free to pm
