FIRST TIME TO HAWAII.....CAN I GET ANY HELPFUL TIPS???

Is it sanitary to rent a snorkeling kit?

Dont people put dem thangs in their mouth?

Before I visit Hawaii, I always pick up the cheap snorkeling gear (just the mask and snorkel set) for about $20 at Target or Sports Chalet and then toss them before coming back. A few of the rental places offer 'new' snorkel mouth pieces for extra $, but who knows if they are really new or not.

Ive been to Maui. Kahannapali s.p. its nice. The views, food, weather is nice. One thing different about Hawaii is the Mc Donalds menu .

spam breakfast. seasonal taro pie. maybe the occasional teri burger. that's about it, right? japan mcd menu is way more exotic.

You can get portuguese sausage too. Japan got some weird stuff tho, like the Halloween burgers. Wish we had the ebi burger tho, that thing kills.
Korea got bulgogi burgers.

i wish i tried the shaka shaka chicken at mcdonalds in japan. never understood what it was/the concept until they introduced those shakin fries here in the US. now i get it and am curious.

Tryna plan a trip to take my girl for her bday in June
Any tips would be helpful
Gonna probably take her to Waikiki unless yall got better ideas
Don't wanna cash out like that for trip or hotel
Wanna save most money for activities and stuff out there
Willing to after taxes spend at the MOST $2,000 on hotel and flight
But hopefully can get for the 15-1600 range
Not sure on how long either 4, 5 or 7 days
Also where can we do the luau thing
Is that at like the hotel do I need to do a fancy hotel to enjoy that or what
Please help with tips and advice PLEASE
I wanna snorkel luau and other stuff so preferably not spend most on flight and hotel
I can do a decent room if it can save a few hundred but I don't want anything janky
Please help guys

If it's not booked yet don't do Waikiki, go to Maui bro especially if you taking ya girl. She will prob wanna marry you afterwords, real talk! Plus it's way more chill and easier on the eyes... Lil heaven on earth. Hit up the road to Hana and take your time [emoji]9995[/emoji][emoji]127998[/emoji]

If you insist on Oahu then island hop for that one day by lil plane n keep it moving. Like $139 rt per ticket

Waikiki is too touristy you can even try other parts of Oahu and not have that touristy feel. North Shore, Lanikai Beach on the east side of the island are some nice places

i think there's already been some useful discussion in here, but specific to your timing, you do have an opportunity to check out the lei draping of the kamehameha statue (on the friday), and there is also a kamehameha parade (saturday). not that id highly recommend either, but it is something that you wouldnt be able to see had you visited any other days.

Does anyone know what kind of souvenir I can get for my co workers near Waikiki? Something inexpensive and unique.

lol the entire waikiki is filled with cheap tourist crap.

if you want something unique, give your co-workers some pieces of lava rock, preferably from a heiau (burial site) :nerd:

Brah walk around international market and haggle your *** off.
place doesnt exist anymore. the site is being redone. gonna be more upscale. i think hawaii is getting its first saks there (we only have an off 5th at the outlet).
