I've been on a hunt to pick up some OG Answer IVs but not I'm having a hard time of distinguishing OG from retros. I believe the OG don't have the velcro strap across the zipper, but not 100% sure. Anyone have a way to tell the OG form the retros?

Thanks

Yea, they didn't have the strap. Some of his player editions he wore on court did, but not pairs for the public. There's a lot of differences between the OG and retro though. The red/grey/white and the white/black were actualy low cut and not mid except for an Asia exclusive mvp pair, the OG navy pairs have an iverson graphic on the tongue that the retros don't have and it's possible the black/grey pairs did too but I could be wrong, some of the retros have no 3m or if they do it was only used on the midsole and not all the way up the grey portion that says I3, the last batch of retros extend material from the top of the tongue all the day to the middle lace loop and the OG and first retros of the mid 2000s just had a straight piece of material on the tongue that looked a lot cleaner, the iverson face on the sole is always black and silver on the retros and the OG would be the color or whatever the shoe was and not just black, and also all of the OG pairs had the tattoo insole and only about half of the last retro actually had it. I guess I should also mention the retros don't have actual DMX technology either.

I know I'm mad late lol but the silver piece on the bottom with his face on it is actually metal on the og. The retro is just plastic
