Jordan 5 "Pro Stars" - June 6, 2015

WACK!!!!!!

looks like something a 12 yr old would rock the **** out of, NOT MEN!!!!
Respectfully disagree... Don't have to like them, but no need to bash them either.

Personally this colorway doesn't appeal to me in picture, but once I get to the store and check them out sometimes that changes my opinion.

I'm a size 11 man. I took em back because after I bought them, i had no desire to wear them. I tried to oop the size 11 people in the xi low thread by letting them know where I took them back to. I'm not a reseller so I would've sold them for retail. Once I say the pro stars in person, I knew I'd rather have those then my lows.

Gotcha. FWIW i am glad i copped both. [emoji]9786[/emoji]

I've really been contemplating if I should get a pair of these. They really would make a great summer shoe to rock.

I've never understood the two most common groups of comments that always seem to pop up on each release.

Those that buy the shoes and try their hardest to convince everyone else "don't sleep" and how great a shoe is simply because they got them.

And those that don't like the shoe and feel the need to say "don't see how anyone could like such ugly shoes," or "only hypebeasts/women/kids could wear these."

I guess it's insecurity on both sides.  I wasn't aware we all had to like/dislike the exact same things.

Well said. The people that say "Man I can't believe y'all slept on these, y'all are gonna regret it, I see these being worth X dollars in the future" on shoes that aren't that popular crack me up. If you like em, that should be good enough, no reason to try and convince everyone else to like them, or make them into something they aren't.

And yea, some people could be a little more diplomatic in saying they don't like a shoe, no need to put people down for buying something you don't personally like.

That's the JB forum for ya though

I  never understood why people go into a certain shoe thread just to say they don't like the shoe.

If I did that I wouldn't have enough time to look at the shoes I actually like.

How's the quality on these???

Looks like the Infrared 6s leather from last year and I hope it isn't. I may never wear them because I know the leather is stiff/cardboard/****ty/bad :frown:

The leather is definitely on the stiffer side. At best slightly better then Grape 5s for reference but nothing to rave about. To me these aren't worth the $190, much better releases from the past and future coming out

The leather isn't stiff at all. It's leaps and bounds beyond the grapes, laneys or fire reds.

It's also softer than what's on my 2006 fire reds

You aren't doing this to any recent V

How can you can pair this GS cw, to a iconic cw and shoe like the ATC ?
\\

"Iconic" is subjective. Tech challenges released in like 2008 and no one wanted them. They retro again in 2012 or 2013 or whenever that was and they're a huge hit.

I don't see anything iconic about the shoe and it carries no nostalgic value to me.

The comparison is rather easy...They are both white based shoes with neon color accents. Both have a very 90's feel to them and both sillouhettes released in the early 90's.

Pretty easy, actually.

A lot of sneakers released today and vice versa would get dissed in their current form.

Look how some guys reacted to infrared VI's

I love them and generally hate white sneakers. High quality (its been a while since I've seen a Jordan without glue marks) and very comfortable (leather is much softer). Seems like the  "remastered" fee for attention to detail is going to push a lot more unpopular colorways to sale or outlets. I'm fine with that.
