Wale - Wow... That’s Crazy - Out Now

best album

Not a fan of that single Jeremih song, and ehhhh on the Usher one. Weren't made for me though.

I feel the same.
Usher, Jeremih, and SZA song are all for the radio or the broads.
He has throwaways like this on every album but I understand it, gotta get his cake somehow

The Pessimist :smokin

Wale is dope. I don't understand the personal vendetta that NT has against him

He used to be on NT then he "made it".

Literally simple as that. There are much worse rappers who don't catch nearly as much hate as he does.

I have a theory

Because he's flawed and sort of corny

In general people want their rappers to be superheroes, rich, best hustler, toughest. People don't want real from rappers expressing real topics and emotions. They want to listen to someone they aspire to be.

Wale breaks that mold so people don't see it as being "cool" to listen to.

Because you can't say he's not lyrical or he's not talking about anything.

People hate Wale because they ARE Wale. All his emotional outbursts are the same stuff dudes do everyday. But when someone else does it they got a problem with it.

But yeah, the "he's not lyrical" argument is always pure hate. Somebody on here one tried to explain that he was the worst rapper in MMG. Foolishness.

Think I'm going to pass on this but for those that care

I just woke up from a dream that I was at a rollerskating party that Wale was hosting in my local town

And in my dream everyone who was skating around the rink was rapping perfectly "King Kunta" from TPAB

How random.

It's also funny how people here act like it's just NT.

He has the public perception of being a dickbag everywhere. Not just here.

So I found the hats. I will post the information and where to order if it's legit. I just placed an order so I'm waiting to see if it goes through

Getting the spotify treatment 2night and if all is well I'll be hitting Best Buy 2mrw.

The album is very good and will probably fly under the radar which is unfortunate. Will be purchasing sometime this week when I get a chance

Yeah, I'll see females say I don't like him, because of his personality. I'm like do you know him  If 50 cusses someone out on Twitter, it's ok. If Wale does it, he's being a *****.

I think that's why negativity affects him more, because he's actually putting his soul and passion in the music. Where as someone else it's more of a movie character trying to get a check. They turn it off and on. It's like they hate you for being you and being human.

Budden and Wale get that.

And it's funny how with Rick Ross, I will hear people say he's a fraud and crack jokes, but they'll like and even respect his music.

REALLY good album.

"The Pessimist" made me cry. :smh:

Here I am walkin down 148th street wiping tears from my eyes.

REALLY good album.
I wasn't anticipating this album. I was gonna totally ignore it, but he put on a GREAT show lastnight so I deceided to check it out. Glad I did.

I stopped keepin up with Wale after Ambition. I never heard The Gifted, my man in the halfway house had it but it was edited  so I turned it off.

Hip Hop is in a SPECIAL moment right now. From Cole to KRIT to Fab to Lupe to Kendrick to this.

I wasn't really feelin Big Sean but a lot of people are.

We gotta really appreciate what's goin on. Artists are speaking to the people. It's much bigger than hip hop. It's bout to get REAL.

Listened to the album with low expectations, and I DID NOT EXPECT this album to be GREAT. Ever since Wale signed with MMG, I drifted away from his music. This is the Wale I can rock to. :smokin

Wish my dude Wale would come back and read this thread, see his new work is getting lots of love.

NT doesn't just hate.
This album doesn't deserve hate, and it's not getting any.

Generally speaking most of us level headed posters give props when they're deserved.

This is a damn good album.
Hope the warm reception cheers him up a bit :nthat:
