At that point, they're grown and I really wouldn't have a choice...so...

I personally think fraternity's are lame but if that's what he wants to do he will do it. At that age their minds are made up, but if he's anything like me it will never cross his mind. Team alpha

"Be okay" or support it would prolly b a better question.

Saw this on a show this am and majority said no

I'm Greek so there probably is some bias. If my son wants to join my organization I can't front I'd be a bit scared but also extremely proud.

Being a Kappa has been great for me personally but I've always maintained my own identity etc. I've seen dudes get lost in frat life and even ended a friendship with someone over it.

My son will always be my son though and like many others have said as long as I've raised him right and taught him to think for himself I won't have much to worry about.

They can do whatever they want. All I can do is warm them

I don't have kids....

But I just think that parenting is done when the kids get around 13...

The rest is consulting...

Their friends will be more impactful than the parents at the age when they start hanging with them more (12 to 15)

Repped.

Frat life is damn near as controversial as cannabis. Especially on nt. Those affiliated SWEAR by it. It seems lame to many, however, a number of prominent figures of all races have affiliation.

As far as the actual process (hazing) it's dangerous, some see it as lame /pathetic to let your peers beat you until you're bloody, but no matter what, it's considered a rite of passage and can give the same type of confidence boost as other grueling activities such as working out, or a marathon, which everyone isn't cut for.

I joined a frat in college, but I didn't go through the underground process for personal reasons,to my 'brothers' chagrin. Now that I'm older I'm glad that I didn't succumb to the peer pressure. I'm basically no longer affiliated whatsoever, and I've accepted that.

Greek life really is a different mindset and to an extent a different world.
