First and foremost, RIP ROBERT EARL DAVIS.

So many tapes i can post that are greats, and just screw talkin on the track is great enough.

If you aint grow up in the 90's or grow up in the 90's in Texas you truly missed out on a South Legends shine.

Yeah, im on one.

I didnt start jammin screw till after the nawfside/southside beef. I was messin wit swisha house before SUC. Even till this day when i hear old tracks wit ppl like pokey and keke talk down on the nawf its like dam, h-town done came a long way and its still divided.

Dj screw put on for a lot of ppl out the H. Blacks and mexicans. He showed a lot of ppl love that were actually tryna do somethin, and put money in theyre pockets. Sad that he died young and early in his own movement, but his memory lives on, and his impact in the music industry started a lot of ppls careers in texas and outside. His form of music has impacted the rap, and even r&b industry in a major way TO THIS DAY.

You find hooks on a song that just dropped today and theres a screw influence.

You listen to pop songs and screws style is influenced on them as well.

Theres a lot of what ifs, if screw didnt die. But no matter what, he acheived what he was tryna accomplish before he passed, wich was to screw up the world.

Rip Screw, thank you for the sound you gave to the south, and artist that came about.

i agree...i wouldnt even be where i am if it wasnt for that man...RIP Screwzoo

I cosign this post/thread to a T! Freestyling all day with my boys banging Screw, one of my biggest influences in music.
And them Northside Southside feuds were a trip ... then Fat Pat death just ain't help.
I put on for Screw for real and love the influence , I was really hoping somebody down here would take on the sound and really put on for the H. But it's all good, cuz people in the industry show love by continuing the sound and I don't think it'll ever fade away.
RIP SCREW

I remember my uncle in lake Charles jamming all of esg tapes screwed up. Also those rnb screwed tapes he put out are legendary

i think they do but because of the newer format of gathering music via internet instead of hand to hand, it doesnt seem as strong... but its still here... i can speak for myself and the chopstars and the slots we have on the radio now..

A slim i appreciate your work as well, but i gotta ask, da hell happened to og ron c. I used to like him, now his stuff is way to sloppy. Used to think it was just me but just about everyone i talk to about slowed down music says the same.

On a sidenote when will a new slowed down tape from you be available

im not even from the US but first read about screw in a small article in source magazine

that sparked the interest, then i'd hop on the dial up, audio galaxy or napster and search for tracks

after that it was mirc, blessed with a small portion of his catalogue

now, screwhead for life

wish someone would get his camp to release all mixtapes on download

im not trying to have cds sitting around the house anymore

btw, anyone ever listen to beltway 8? no one mentions them but they had a solid run of mixes and freestyles
