It's a thread about anything and everything public transportation.

Stories, pics, whatever.

I took some pics from when I was in Toronto last month.

metro is nice, but people sleep on the metro busses...$1.75 per trip with free transfers within 2 hours, MUCH cheaper than riding rail, also some lines run 24 hours

rep your bus routes...

and sometimes...

and for rail, but my last resort...

I've heard that Washington Metro is pretty damn expensive.

What are the best Mass Transport systems you guys have been on? Weird question I know, but NY's MTA gets love from me.

Second has to go to Singapore's MRT. Cleanest and most advanced subway system I've ever ridden in. The AC inside the train stations they have are :smokin.
can be, depending on how far you ride...also throw in $5.10 to park at certain metro stops with lots/garages

Peak SmarTrip[emoji]174[/emoji] Fares (in effect weekdays from opening to 9:30 am and 3-7 pm and weekends midnight to closing)

$2.15 minimum + a $1 surcharge if a paper farecard is used

$5.90 maximum + a $1 surcharge if a paper farecard is used

Off-Peak SmarTrip[emoji]174[/emoji] Fares (all other times)

$1.75 minimum + a $1 surcharge if a paper farecard is used

$3.60 maximum + a $1 surcharge if a paper farecard is used

Paper Farecard Surcharge
If you use a paper Farecard, you will pay a surcharge for each trip. To avoid this additional cost, we encourage you to use a SmarTrip[emoji]174[/emoji] card.

$1 fare surcharge for each trip taken with a standard paper farecard. That's $2 for a roundtrip.

50¢ fare surcharge for seniors and people with disabilities.

To see the fares between stations, go to the Metrorail stations pageand click on the station where you're starting your trip.
SmarTrip[emoji]174[/emoji] Transfers
Metrobus to Metrobus. Bus-to-bus transfers with a SmarTrip[emoji]174[/emoji] card are valid for free, unlimited Metrobus connections (including round trips) within a two-hour period.

Between Metrobus and Metrorail. A 50¢ discount is given for bus-to-rail and rail-to-bus transfers with a SmarTrip[emoji]174[/emoji] card within a two-hour period.

I was at home in the LBC and saw the Supreme x Hirst Decks dropped and vanished within seconds online.
I had time to take the metro from LBC to LA,,
STROLL GINGERLY INTO SUPREME, COP A DECK... AND DUDES WERE LOOKING AT ME CRAZY LIKE I WAS CHARLIE FROM WILLY WONKA BUYING just 1 deck.

I get back home stop by EAST 4th in the LBC, flash my heat...
Head over to proper and get in line for the ZEN GREY YEEZY..
I MADE $2000 RESELLING THAT STUFF OFF OF $300..

I would eventually relapse on alcohol and blow all that munny on high end prostitutes, massage parlors, and hotel stays. Munny literally was gawn in 1 week.

Several weeks later I passed by east 4th and some other LBC shops and everyone was all like "YOURE ON HYPEBEAST"

Apparently someone took a picture of me holding the deck... at the time I was drunk so I was angry and wrote multiple angry emails to HB telling then about what they could DO with their website.

I thought u were gon post that video of that dave chappelle story the 1 you told me. it was funny though lol

Took public transportation for 19 years before I got my license. Don't think I can do it anymore.

opposite for me (well i wasn't driving for that long), but i loathe getting into my car just to drive somewhere when i could take a bus

only thing i enjoy driving is my motorcycle

Man **** MTA for keeping raising their damn fare in NYC....$2.75?

Watch that **** be $3 by the end of this year.

As much as I Love NYC, but I have to admit that they have the dirtiest transit system I've ever been on. Also, the seats are so damn uncomfortable on the trains. I used to complain about the trans here in the DMV, but after riding the trains in NYC, I really appreciate it Metro..LOL

I was spending damn near 70 a week using metro at one point ..I would seriously rather fight the traffic and pay for gas.

used to buy monthly unlimited and literally go somewhere everyday to get my moneys worth

it's definitely cheaper than what I pay for car and insurance but taking NYC public trans in the winter is a hard thing :smh:

Fall and Spring I tend to take it more

Said no one ever--unless your riding late night

Man I would wind up killing one of these round dudes on the green line if I had to ride it everyday. I go from southern ave to archives ..so I'm passing through the heart of SE ..that's easily the worst stretch on Metro.

Not to mention the constant delays ..

Southern Avenue used to me my nearest metro station, but we moved out to Largo in 09, so Largo Town Center is my nearest station. Furthermore, The green line is treacherous from Southern Avenue to Anacostia Station on rush hour in the evenings. SOME people that get on the trains/get off don't really have no regard to human life especially, these young dudes. It's really bad riding pass those stations on the weekends because it's pretty much a free for all for these young teens..smh! You really see the quality difference from people on each line for metro. It's actually mind boggling.
