NASA scientist warns that California only has one year of water left.

The storms has been a pleasant and much needed surprise to start off the year.

Storms have added 33.6 billion gallons of water to Lake Tahoe since Jan. 1

According to the National Weather Service, the lake has gained about 33.6 billion gallons of water since Jan. 1 -- and the lake has risen about one foot.

It's a big turn around from just a few years ago, when the drought had Lake Tahoe water levels reaching record lows.

Literally just searched this to bring back this thread and someone today beat me to it
Mind blown

But ya. We byke!

This last week has been the first time in my life I haven't complained about nonstop rain  Felt like I was in Spartacus where it didn't rain until Spartacus won in the arena

Seriously though, I had almost forgotten what real rain in California felt like. I think I can count on one hand how many times it rained here in the Bay Area from 2015 until late 2016  My SoCal friends were happy for us since they get most of their water from Northern Cali

@ this thread. As a resident in the bay it's been a wild few days. I got my mail after that huge storm a couple of days ago and it was legit soaked, paper literally crumbling in my hand, the mailman had no idea how to handle that kind of rain. dude probably thought like the rest of us it was gonna sprinkle for 15 mins and that was it
Luckily it was all junkmail for that day
