Ultra Music Festival 3/27-3/29 2015

No old heads call that **** EDM he's right though.

And since you said nothing about the music in a thread about a music festival, it was safe to assume you wouldn't go to one of these sober.

I don't really see what's wrong with drugs being a part of what draws someone to a music festival. 

Like criticizing some for needing alcohol to have a good time at a club or a house party.

Anyway went to Brunch Electronik last Sunday. It was amazing.

Ultra's lineup is trash this year. There's nothing that screams " I have to go ". No Empire of the Sun, Justice, Prodigy, Chemical Brothers, etc.

The production is light years behind EDC and Tomorrowland, not worth it at all.

It's an EDM fest, there will be drugs EVERYWHERE. Electric forest here in Michigan, you couldn't walk 100 yards without someone trying to sell you something. Everyone everywhere is on something at an EDM fest lol.
 
I see now. So them announcing they're banning them is a sort of formality.


Are there any festivals centered around Deep house?
 
Drugs have always been a part of raves :lol:
But in my opinion, if you really need drugs to enjoy the music, what's the point of paying $100-400 to do something you can do at a party or nightclub for way cheaper....
Regardless I don't partake in that anymore and have gone to raves sober for 4 years, and I feel like I have had as much or even more fun vibing out to trance/electro/techno sober than being on one or smoking the good stuff.

some drugs don't mix well at a party or nightclub and sometimes people just want to do drugs somewhere they know a bunch of other people will be on drugs.

This. I'm not a heavy drug user by any means but have experimented at festivals and once outside of that environment. It's definitely (depending on the substance) easier to get your mind into it when everyone else is participating as well.

Although some of the best times I've had at shows were spent 100% sober, no alcohol or anything.

To the guy hating on the guy for talking about what he took, don't totally discredit substances until youve done your research. Many psychiatrists believe in the use of LSD and other hallucigens for therapy. They say the success rate of curing alcholhism while under the influence of LSD is very high.

With all of this being said though, NEVER take anything that you aren't well educated on and that you don't know if it's clean/safe.

I've done my fair share of things and I wasn't hating on dude for his choices but the thread is about a music festival and all he came in to say was he gets ****** up on drugs. Drugs have been in the scene since it's incarnation but these festivals used to be filled with really cool and nice people and now it's a lot of powder head frat bros and d bags.

That's a pretty accurate statement... Lol. Way too many frat bros at festivals these days. I just try to ignore them.

The reason why I brought up the Lucy aka LSD, was because it was the first time I did a decent dose and it was a pretty life changing experience. sorry that I didn't talk too much about the artist that were there like Calvin Harris, drums on acid, etc for your liking, but I spoke about my experience. Period

If you were so concerned about the music, the speak about it, don't come and start hating because I brought up drugs. You sounded like a douched up frat boy earlier when your condescending remarks

I doubt fesitival's would be centered around Deep House or what I like to think of House. More of a faster speed tempo at the Festivals. House is for the underground...

stock up on gatorade and water. dont bring too much food a lot of it goes to waste

if youre camping bring an ez up, sleeping bags, etc

bring a spray bottle to festival it get hots

lots of sunscreen and a hat
