I hope the side emblems being placed on the door isn't going to be BMW new trend, it looks so bad there, just put it back in the fender or remove it altogether.

yeah i like how for the most part BM's body styling is gradual evolution of the previous model, they don't drastically change from one generation to the next.


subtle refinements that make the world of difference.

New 7s are alright, I guess, to be fair I do find giant sedans boring. If I had to choose between competitors though, I'd easily choose the S-Class.

A high-tech key fob with a digital screen sounds and is pretty neat, but the BMW 7-Series' new Display Key has an even neater feature, as it allows you to use it as a remote control to park your car while standing outside!

In yet another sign that advanced gadgets and features from halo cars quickly trickle down to more pedestrian models, the G11 (short wheelbase) / G12 (long-wheelbase) 7-Series becomes the second BMW after the exotic i8 hybrid sports coupe to get a key fob that has more in common with your mobile phone and/or smart watch than with a traditional key.

Where it differs from the i8 is that the 7's new Display Key also governs BMW's world first Remote Control Parking (RCP) feature, which in simpler terms, is an autonomous parking system that allows the driver to move the car forwards into or in reverse out of a parking space while standing outside.

RCP can only be engaged if vehicle is positioned centrally in front of the selected parking space, while the distance the vehicle is allowed to travel in driverless mode when entering and leaving the parking space is limited to 1.5 times the length of the car.

I don't know if you mentioned it RFX, but it has a Samsung tablet running Android for the back passengers.

I didn't mention it but yah it is removable but I figure just like any other tablets/phones, thing will be outdated within a year or two. Col feature though, they also have an air-wipe feature.

The only practical use I can think of for the RCP is getting in and out fo a tight spot. It's borderline useless.

Not even, if its only able to move forward and reverse without turning, how you gonna even get out of that spot?

also the center console is very boring.

smartfob is gimmicky to me..

keyfob is real slick though, good job getting the remote right.
