Cheap things you do vol. every dollar counts

Some of this is too much work. I'm not buying something to return it later to get for a buck cheaper.

But I do take hot sauce from chipotle
Get water every time I eat out.
Drive for a day with gas light on sometimes.
Spray ozium in my house instead of febreeze
never get double chicken at sarku
Take household items from work

I have a price/Oz. ticker in my head at all times.

I saw salsa the other day. The bigger 32 oz container was on sale for $6. Solid deal you would think. But the smaller 14 oz. jars were $2.75. So no matter if you buy up to 32 oz. or not, you're better off buying two of them, or even just one. More quantity isn't always better.

it's the small stuff like that that I think about most of the time.

I know of at least Walmart and Sam's club that will list the UNIT/OZ. price on their price-description label.

1.25 L coca cola bottles on sale for $1 seem like a good deal. But the basic 2 L for $1.50 is the sure per/oz. favorite.

The potato chip and cookie aisle is where alot of trickery happens too.

No one seems to re use their cups at gas station fountain machines anymore... $1.50 is the standard price for a 32 oz. soda that they sell you including ice and cup.. A refill will run you about $1.25 for upwards of 44 ounces.

It's probably why we're fat as a nation because of this 'value' aspect. But what are you gonna do

Save a parking ticket I get and slap it on the windshield so I won't get another ticket. I get to keep my quarters too.

This is true about getting soft drinks with no ice but I haven't thought about asking for a cup of ice :lol:

So I ask for a FREE water cup at the counter and fill it up with salsa. I had one female employee say "You can't do that!" and I said "why?" She had no answer :lol:

just laugh and said "that's smart!"

The one cup of water is like 4-5 small salsa containers

back in the day one of my homies order a burger from carl's jr and asked for no pickles. While he was eating he realized they put pickles in there. He ate around the pickle almost 3/4 of the sandwich. Takes it to the counter and says I ordered no pickle. :lol:

they gave him a whole new burger :lol:

i never tip more than 10 dollars ever my average is maybe 3-5 dollars sometimes zero tip
i dont do it becuase im cheap tho its more because i dont feel like they deserve 20% of my bill just because they brought me my food
