Cheap things you do vol. every dollar counts

Cheap Things That I do:

1. Recycle Captain Ds coupons so that I can constantly get  free fish and fries everytime I decide to eat there.

2. Create a new Amazon account every other month so I can continue to use Amazon Prime for free.

3. Use this app for Walmart that lets you scan your receipt and gives you money back if they find the items you bought for a cheaper price.

4. Use food apps to get special deals on food when I feel like eating out. (Kind of goes with #1)

5.  Use grocery/shopping bags as garbage bags. No point in paying for real garbage bags when they both serve the same purpose.

6. Look for stuff I want on Ebay/Amazon (Amazon Prime) so I can get it for a way better price.

-My eldest son is 13 years old, he's 10 every time we go eat at a buffet.

-I take straws and utensils from Chipotle

-At California Chicken Cafe, I order a salad with Hot chicken. When I get it I get hot chicken in it but I tell the server that I meant a breast and a wing. They bring that Breast and Wing right out and I stay with my hot chicken.

-In N Out, you order your burger and eat it half way. Tell them the center is too pink for your liking and they will make you a new one. If the manager is cool, they will give you a coupon worth a full meal for next time.

-If the cashier charges me incorrectly for an item, I stay quiet and walk out like I won the lotto. Went to Smart and Final (store kinda like costco) and I asked them to charge me for 8 bags of 20 pounds of ice.
the cashier charged me for 8 bags of reusable plastic bags at $.10 each in stead of ice. I did not say a dam word. That saved me like $30

-When at the grocery store, I use self checkout. I punch in codes for the cheaper stuff. Example, Small Avocados are $.69 each while large are $2.99 each. So I grab 4 large avocados and punch in the codes for the smaller ones.
This also works with apples. I love large Fuji apples, so instead of punching in the code for large apples, I punch in the code for smaller apples.

-Vallarta supermarket, freshly baked bread is 3 for $1. We put 8 in the bag and eat 2 while walking around.
so...you steal...

Any of you extreme couponers? I watch the show on tlc and the amount of stuff they buy is crazy. I know they love deals but what the hell are they going to do with 200 toothbrushes and 100 sticks of deodorant. Show should be combined with hoarders for all the unnecesssary extra stuff they buy.

You could resell all that on eBay craigslist etc etc

Do you guys ever get Chinese food at Safeway or your local supermarket? Well, you can either opt to pay at the deli register or the regular register with your groceries. I know a guy who opts to go to the self checkout and "forgets" to ring up his Chinese food.

Some of ya'll have no shame, and even get ya'll family involved in these shenanigans, look in the mirror before ya wash ya faces

Wow, never heard of someone stealing some Chinese food. Are times really tough for him or does he just like to steal?

Never heard of anyone punching in the wrong codes at the self checkout either. I'm poor but i'm not about to do some of this stuff.

For inside garbage we use plastic bags from the store, not a bin liner like a glad bag.

We ruse napkins until they tear. If you for example wipe your hands with a napkin, my mom will put to the side on the counter, use it it wipe solid food off the plates into the garbage like bones n stuff, then put it aside again and wait until all the dishes are washed and use the same napkin to clean out that drain gaurd thing for the sink.

THEN we throw it out

Sounds pretty efficient.

Yeah those things come from either being a thief or not being able to afford, that is not considered cheap.

Use my empty whole foods paper bags as trash bags. 5 bags = trash bags for the entire week

i eat over the sink to avoid using a dish so i don't have to run the dishwasher...more so lazy than cheap but it still reduces water bill

I will buy

shampoo X Conditioner vs. shampoo & conditioner.

When I buy I car, I make sure it takes regular fuel. (Girl had a Jetta, (91 octane POS)

I refill water bottles all day so I don't get glasses dirty :pimp: keep plastic forks on deck too. I'm good on doing dishes.

I think there's a difference between being cheap and stealing...

If I'm thirsty when I'm walking to the gym or home, I'll stop into Chase and grab a cup or two of water from their cooler. If I'm paying $6 a month for a checking account, best believe they're quenching my thirst.

I scammed them good with a free college account that lasted four years after graduating. Now it's either keep 5 grand in there or get a direct deposit :smh:

Add another to my list.... I don't believe in tipping the waiter/waitress more than $3. Find a side job if you want more money.

That's better than the guy who will take the tip money that his friends / family leave on the table.
