Cheap things you do vol. every dollar counts

ill park in nearby neighborhoods, risking potential fines or being towed, instead of the metro parking, so i dont have to pay the $5 garage/lot fee...

1. I never rinse the dish soap out of the sponge (kitchen).

When I need to clean, I just add water, re-lather and wash away. Only apply more soap when the sponge has lost most of the o.g soap.

2. I often re-use the foil that I wrap my work lunch (sandwich) in, and the zip-lock bag that I carry said sandwich in.

Bro your dishes might get mold on them like that

I definitely do not switch them out till 4-6 months...hell i don't even take them out for like a month strong. its gotten to the point where my eyes have adapted and are no longer susceptible to the consequences

I was definitely on that wave for a minute. Slept with my joints in for like probably 1-2 years. Not the same pair, but I was just too lazy to take them out at night and I didn't have any glasses to wear when I had them out. Luckily, last time I went to the optometrist he said mine are actually ok for sleeping in because they let enough oxygen through, but they weren't officially FDA approved to sleep in. Kinda obvious, but he said it was good to take them out and soak/rinse them every now and then. I've been better about it for the last 5-6 months taking them out every night.

I only had one bad experience probably like 4 years ago when I kept them in for like 2-3 months for the first time and the day I finally took them out my eyes pretty much infected themselves, producing hella mucus and **** to basically moisturize my normal eye surface which wasn't used to feeling the back of my eyelids

Lol yeah, that's just trifling.

Buy in bulk , problem solved.

Sounds like the girl on the show about cheapskates who tries to keep her water bill as low as possible.

She would reuse boiled water for WEEKS, she used the water for pasta multiple times , eggs, etc.

Only allowed 2 minute showers. Just nasty maybe I can find the clip.

It's cool to do things to save money here and there but when your this far overboard just figure out how to make an extra $20-$50/week .

Don't eat at sit down restaurants....I rather get the food to go so I can eat at home at and not pay tip

re fill water bottles

Long as I'm not running late I always find the free parking n walk instead of paying to be close to my destination

I also grab a bottle or 2 of hot sauce to take home at food spots

Always ask for free cups when I go places n stack em at the crib

For my blind NTers how many of you wear your contact lenses for longer than your supposed to? I think mine are supposed to be changed out every 2-3 months and I switch them probably every 4-6 months :smh: :x

I have daily wears but if I only wear them a few hours i'll wear them 3-4 more times. I stocked up and have like a 6-8 month supply i'll make last for 18 months.

I had an old pair of the 2 week wear lenses. Wore them on the airplane when I went on vacation and realized I forgot to pack my glasses. Ended up wearing those contacts for most of the week and my eyes were suffering.

Y'all need this. I always go over the 1-2 month range. This cleans your contacts daily way way way better than that basic solution ****. So if you wear your contacts a lot, you should have this regardless

Oranges in the self checkout line. I'm not paying $1 an orange. Most of the time I type in I have 2 or 3 meanwhile I got like 11-15 in the bag.

Lol. Now you're all just asking for trouble. You'd be better buying cheaper contacts and changing them properly - no-one is scamming you, he incidence of severe corneal problems goes through the roof if you wear contacts longer than a month (or a day if they're daily disposable).

If you're going to skimp on something choose something else that can be replaced.

But what do I know, I only specialise in anterior eye disease...

If it's at a restaurant that gives bread, chips, etc., I insist on eating there cuz they're essentially free.... Then make sure to get an extra thing of bread or chips to go before heading out. 8)

Lol, when Olive Garden did their unlimited pasta, I made sure to refill it, then got that to go, as well. Same with the salad.

i dont know how it is now, but when i would get hot plates/salads at whole foods they gave you an option for container to deduct weight.

i would always put my food in the smallest container possible and select largest container at self checkout to deduct a couple more ounces.

Not sure where this goes so

How can they prove they bought "x" amount of milk for "X" amount of dollars over 14 years? Nobody is keeping those receipts, and you can't use bank statements or credit card statements because it isn't itemized.
