Any recommendations for a class?

Always wanted to get this done and for my field it seems it's necessary. Just wanted to know if there is a preferred way to go about this...

Red Cross?

American Heart Assc.?

Others?

Right now i'm seeing that both CPR + First Aid is $115...is that a good price?

Any tips?

:nthat:

American Heart Association. They will teach you how to use an AED too. They go hand in hand.

For real though.....the actual save percentage is hella low with CPR/AED. Just give em the deuce and bounce.

Hold up...is this a better bet than taking the in-person class. The save factor is incredible but would you consider having the in person training to be beneficial enough to warrant the price.

I mean personally i'm a quick learner and I can visualize scenarios in my mind but idk...my gut tells me this is something you should learn first hand.

lmk.

I did mine with the Red Cross. Took about a 5 hour course at school for a job. I'm praying I never have to use it in real life though.

I'm currently a registered EMT, and they can be picky on where you got your cpr cert from

you can never go wrong with american heart association, the'yre pretty much accepted anywhere

if it doesn't matter, you can just do the online test lol, CPR with AED training

If your going to get the certification, don't go through an association. Create your own and get it through your own association.

i did mine through AHA and am a BLS instructor through UCI where I work

AHA is a good one, i'd recommend doing one in person

I had it from taking a first aid class senior year of high school but it since then has expired and I never renewed it.

Got mine for free through work. Pretty boring but super beneficial

Me too, im surprised to hear about people paying for the course and presenting the certificate to their employer.

Mine expired last year.

People always trying to sue others even when they are being helpful so I don't blame you.

We also use Red Cross. There is a local trainer who comes onsite to train. He brings 4-5 of the dummies to work with. I organize a class of 20-30 folks annually.

I have to take it every other yr for work. Just took it last week, and had a dream about it last night. There are 2 versions of the class. One is more thorough, so that may be why prices are so different. I've never had to use it but my cuz has saved 2 people, just being in the right place at the right time...

Check a nearby hospital. They tend to have classes for cheap. I did mine late last year and only paid $10 (just to have it printed and mailed to me)

Normally any LEO/Security occupations require you to have First aid. Its mandatory and paid for by your employer

Free ftw
