I think they're setting the White lady up to be the surprise villain of the show. We all know her husband seems like a scumbag but I get the feeling that she'll be the one putting hands on the nanny. She's already done it once and I think she'll do it again.

Every time she has an issue with her husband she hurts the nanny. Smh she scratched her hands, burned her and lying to her friend about her. Hopefully her son gets her letters and comes to get her.
 
So yeah, let me get this straight.

This white lady is abusing the Haitian nanny? And then lying on her and about how she gets hurt?

I know she's doing something. You know something is up when she tells her that food aint for you and moves her in to a smaller room. Plus it seems like she's doing it cuz she's mad with her husband.

Yup, the wife will be the villain of that story. I think the husband will either sympathize against the crazy wife and save her or hes going to take it out on the kid to hurt the wife.


Man she was dirty as hell for going at him like that for being sterile. Thats a real low blow, especially how she worded it.

I would have never gave up my passport to that lady, now she cant leave if she wanted to. And if she tries theyd prob detain her then deport her somewhere random.

Lowkey I'm surprised her old self could have children. She look old as hell in the face (yes I know it's a character)

The nanny told the wife her son was grown and had a family of his own in an earlier episode. Hopefully it wasn't a lie and that's who the letters were going to.

What blows my mind is all those hands the lady had been through they couldn't find one French interpreter?!? Not one? Just put her *** in the crazy house smfh.

What finale man. In typical American CRIME fashion no one wins. Pouring scalding water on the nanny was EVIL man.
 
Very sad. Pretty creepy at the end there. Didn't expect the father to try and make things go away for the evil lady. Glad Yves came to save his mom. Hopefully kimarra got knocked up

Was happy to see her son show up too, that was her only hope. Also glad to see those letters she was writing were actually about how she was being treated.

The husband wanted nothing to do with the wife, he only wanted to make it go away so that he didnt have to take care of the boy. And in her crooked mind that was her way of making him accept the kid as his own.

The way Regina King was going at her i was for sure she had a wire on or something. She was making sure she was gon be set to keep trying that IVF and take that vacation.



I think the husband knew thats what she was going to do, hell he prob originally agreed to it but as the years went by all the wife cared about was the kid. The story came off as he really cared about his business and she just up and quit (the business) to take care of the kid, which wasnt even "his". The way they took jabs at each other he prob got on her all the time and every now n then she hit him with thr sterile jokes.

Idc man thats just a low blow she wrong for that, then throw it in his face talkin bout it took someone else. She might as well slept with that dude then, hell knowing her character she prob did.








So was i seeing things or did they get Teo's dad? I saw Teo at the end, but the goofy lookin mexican dude was standing too with all the dead from this season.

Thats what i thought too because they abandoned the farm stories after only a cpl episodes.

But i think because he literally had no one that his death wasnt reported. OR did he just go back to workin cuz last i remember he got beat up and called his brother his brother hung up on him. Then he tried to walk out on the farm and mexican dude hopped in the truck got him again

Just read on a recap from that EP ...


We see Coy under a streetlamp ... As Coy downs a bottle of pills under the light, .. We cut to Isaac’s dead eyes, and then cut to a parallel shot of Coy’s dead eyes, overdosed on pills in the same position. They’re both, in a sense, casualties of a broken, deadly system. Although, as Isaac almost predicted in their conversation about how overdosing is treated differently depending on race, Coy is saved. He asks to call his family.

Finale was a little lukewarm and made the season seem a bit unfocused.

Overall I don't get the point of the story or message with the abusing the nanny story. Is that specifically something going on in America I'm ignoring?

Plus adding in the semi racist husband didn't help as well as the son he gives no dambs about. Like I got the gist that the lady is in a crumbling marriage. Still not an excuse for what she did and I simply didn't like them not cnfron tinny the issueofnher abusing the nanny. Then here deciding to plead guilty. Butch please. Now you got a conscience? She's either crazy or racist, possibly both.

Didt like the whole leave my husband cuz I'm standing up for how illegals are treated on his farm and now I gotta take care of drug addict sister's children so let me run back to my husband. Seemed like a loveless marriage in that last ep.

As for the kid :lol: He would've been better off going to confessional and letting the priest tell the cops.

John Ridley’s American Crime left it all out on the field. After three acclaimed seasons, the crime drama has been canceled, with ABC opting not to order a fourth installment.

The news is not surprising, the most recent third season drew minuscule linear ratings. Still, ABC brass reportedly tried to figure way to do a short, possibly 6-episode fourth season. That is no longer in the cards.

American Crime, starring Felicity Huffman, and Timothy Huffman and Regina King, has earned a slew of Emmy nominations, winning for King. It was the most decorated broadcast series on the air.

I did not watch season 3 yet, will binge in a few, but I did really enjoy seasons 1 and 2, sad that this show is cancelled.
