Still haven't watched season 1.

Glad this show is going the AHS route with no continuity between seasons.

See Andre 3000 is gonna be in this season.

After everything that has gone down IRL since May .. i cant even imagine what this season is about to be like

I can't wait, looks like it will be just as good if not better than last season. I like this new style of keeping the same actors with a completely different plot..

Yeah i was watching the trailer n was like wait they kept almost all the main people.

This time the woman guiding the mom in season 1 is the mom having an issue.

I'm interested and will watch but I wish it wasn't a rape plot involved.

Seems I'm coming across a lot of the seedy underbelly of regular ppl viewed on tv and movies.

Regina King .. bruh :x

Yeah she bout to bug tf out of me already n im half thru the EP

What disturbed me even more from what I saw is I just watched SVU where the story was about a wrestling coach in a HS molesting a student. The school also had a hot teacher that banged students

Then I transition to this. They did a good job with the kids and making them feel like real HS students on that part.

I feel like it's different from S1 just cuz I knew some of the plot coming in. The pacing on this show has always been what it is with a frustrating plot as you follow each character arc.

I had SVU on dvr last night plan on catching up tonight.

Yeah thats true about this the pace is slow. I do agree with the students though, and i actually think these may be HS kids. They kinda look the part some of still got that goofy awkeardness and lookss about them. The black dude thats the basketball star with the acne, guess could be make up but yeah their acting was good i was surprised

I felt the pacing was slow but just because S1 plot had some of the cards and players laid out already plus almost all the main characters had a already negative attribute about them(which instantly makes me drawn to them lol)
Season 1 had
-the addict couple
-the convict from mexico
-the son of the mechanic
-the racist mom
-the equally racist sister

while I couldn't tell where the plot may/or may not go, these characters and their traits were laid out from the moment you met them and perceptions of them changed throughout the season, I feel like this season we need atleast 2-3 episodes per character to even form an opinion on anything that has happened

This season seems alot more cryptic in how the story will unfold, almost everyone that has been introduced i've barely formed an opinion on them, besides the headmaster and the mother of the victim and even then I'm not even sure what to think. for all I know the dean could be in on it, and he barely had 2 mins of screen time

Definitely interested to see where this goes.

and yeah Regina King was extremely annoying, seems like everyone else from season 1 got a character change, but they barely tweeked her at all.
was surprised to see 3000 on here as well

I feel Regina King as the overbearing protective judgmental mom was different than the Muslim activist sister.

I can see how yall might feel both are annoying though.

I agree both characters are different but only for now, I'm sure if her son gets pulled in(seems like he will) then she will basically be playing the same character from last season. I can even see her character rallying support for her son, much like the sister did in S1. She has waaaay too much time on her hands, and I think they made a point to show that in how she was complaining about the basketball game, but doesn't even like basketball. Her sons extra pass won the game, there was no need for any complaining at all.

The headmaster who was the mother of the murder victim in season 1, i believe(felicity huffman) doesn't seem like her character will turn racist, since she just wants to protect the school's reputation, and according to her she already punished some people

the coach(timothy hutton) who was estranged/divorced to felicity huffman in S1 doesn't seem like his character will go the same route he did either

besides king, the only other actor somewhat protraying a similar tone is the mother of this season's victim, who was helping huffman in S1 seek justice, but her role was pretty minor, the first go around

From what I saw in this ep and previews (his dad grilling him about it) the son didn't do it and won't get pulled in to the center of it. He may know who did do it though. It's probably that white boy who sucks at defense and made the game winning 3.

I highly doubt we'll see the mom doing what the sister did in S1. That'd make no sense with how they set things up.

The mom of the boy who got raped is in for an uphill battle. Seems the whole town will be against her and side with the school cuz of the HS bball team. Seems her main obstacles will be cops, legal system, etc. with Huffman (who seems to be playing a similar *****y character) being the main person she fights against. She's not racist but I'm seeing similarities with the way she wanted to protect her son's reputation in S1 to how she's protecting the school in S2.

Any punishment she does is irrelevant. We're talking about rape here. Suspension won't cut it.

Seems like the rape victim is at least bi curious. Seems like he had a crush on the player who sucks at defense. That might be a big part of the story

Weird part was, rape victim was just watching them practice to begin with
