been sooooo long since i watched the original, should i binge the whole series and start the new one?

oops. let me rephrase that...do i need to watch the original again or is the new one a totally different story/plot. i assume they have some reoccuring characters from the past, but does it continue from where it left off?

Incredible series premiere, though I predict it may be challenging for some who are not familiar with the series, or its socially critiquing undertones of our government. Don’t know how many of you caught this little gem; Adolf Hitler’s autobiography is titled Mein Kampf, German for “My Struggle”. Chapter 2 speaks of his eugenic ideals for Germany, and its “master race”;

“What makes a people or, to be more correct, a race, is not language but blood. Therefore it would be justifiable to speak of Germanization only if that process could change the blood of the people who would be subjected to it…the final descendants of such hybrids…are always in a state of cultural retrogression.”—Adolf-Hitler

The Mythology episodes started getting convoluted after the first feature film. Everything before then were great quality. I remember reading a while back that they would make up mythology storylines on the fly, Scully's abduction for example because Gillian Anderson got pregnant in real life. Once S7 arrived a plots began contradicting themselves like Mulder being told by the Alien bounty hunter that his sister was alive in S2 but in S7 we were shown that she died an early teen.

MOTW episodes were great in their own right. Episodes like Squeeze, Home instantly come to mind.

Man episode 1 blew me away. Can't believe they came out saying all that stuff! Loving this no holds barred, in your face, wake the F up Mulder.
Episode 2 was so disappointing. Wasn't there an wpisode just like this in season1?I thought this season was going to be continous episode picking up after the last with one big plot to end it all

episode was clutch. vintage x-files feels.

This episode was so :smokin Rhys Darby killed it as Guy Mann :lol: Anything solid on more episodes after these 6? I will assume they will be more since it's killing in the ratings.

Thought this episode started out kind of cheesy but it came around, and scully got damn [emoji]128520[/emoji]

Scully's always been sexy. Nothing low-key about it. The sexual tension and her being a sexy brain was part of the show's original appeal.

I was a huge fan as a kid, but lost interest when the storyline started contradicting itself. I found that extremely annoying and lazy on the writer's part. It was like they were just adding episodes to milk the show's success and not to add to its greatness.

I enjoyed the second movie despite not being a regular watcher of the last couple of seasons.

First episode of season 10 was a bit much. I was an Alex Jones listener for a couple of years, so having an Alex Jones type character bugged me for some reason. I guess because I no longer like the guy or anyone who rakes in money by "exposing" things, but never offers solutions.

Episode 2 was classic X-Files. :nthat: I'll check out 3 tonight.

Haha, that was great... the humor, the easter eggs... all fantastic.

And Scully...
