Fox announces X-Files revival... Vol. I Want to Believe...

sooo I just finished all the mythology episodes in chronological order ending with that finale....

Ill say this, Im as big of an x-files fan as anyone, used to watch the show as it came out weekly when I was younger, and like most of yall I loved the moster of the week episodes.

But man watching the episodes now and being able to fully comprehend the storylines and advanced relationships some of the characters had...

the main styory line was soooo all over the palce and contradicted itself so many times....

like someone mentioned earlier, you can tell they were just writing the show on the fly plugging holes as they go.

some stuff was just waaaay to much...like spender taking over the x-files, then getting killed by the smoking man, then coming back to life for the finale as the scarecrow???? WTFFFFFFFFFF

the whole baby saga with scully was so drawn out and repetitive, you would think this broad would have learned to NOT leave her baby with random folks :smh: |I
first she has a miracle baby with no intercourse suggested its from alien/military cloning program, then like a season later it comes out mulder smashed "one lonely night" on the low and that its his baby...ughhh wtf

then u had that FBI cat from the movie who let the bomb go off in his face, resurface in another episode as a totally different character...lol wtffffff

LOL then this foo mulder literally dies...funeral.....buried in his coffin then 3 months later they just dig him up and revive him...

then the finale OMG....how much **** did they try to pack in that 45 minutes lol

as I was younger I never really caught these holes, but now its kinda funny how bad some of the stuff was...

you can totally understand why they wanted to make this new mini series and try to bring some legit closure to the series.....which was so good but ended so bad IMO.

bout to start the mini series all up to speed :nerd:

Straight comedy. :smh: Maybe the 90s weren't as good as we remember them to be?

Me too. Up until season 7. I even bought the CD of music inspired by the show back in the day.

They had a lot of these types of comedic, MOTW episodes back then!  What came to mind after watching this were episodes "Bad Blood" and "Post-Modern Prometheus"... both had the same type of off-beat humor... and were great.

With only 6 episodes this season, they had to fit everything in... some mythology episodes (1 & 6), a regular paranormal case (2) and a comedic one (3).  Let's see what 4 & 5 will bring.

Home Again next week.

Episodes like that us why X-Files is my GOAT :smokin...'s the entire episode... Classic X-Files...

I love the concept of a "monster" turning into a man ... The writers basically said being a human was doodoo ...

LOVED this episode. Reminded me of their funny episodes like Small Potatoes, Bad Blood, and Jose Chung's From Outer Space.

Anybody else notice that Mulder's ringtone was the X-Files theme?

I did notice that  Favorite episode of the new ones so far I wouldn't mind if every episode had a ton of offbeat comedy like this one.

maybe it was just the style the early seasons, but she looks better now than during the 90s...

the teased hair and pants suit/trench coat hid what she was working with, however i realize the focus is on her mind, not the body

Same thing I said. She looks even better now than the 90s.

Oh yeah the show is :pimp: btw. Some things should never be brought back but they hit a home run with this.

dude that played the were-monster was great.

not sure how to feel cause I expected this reboot to be linear and follow one storyline but I really loved this episode.
