Teens shoot and kill 51 year old man walking his dog

The thing is, the EXACT same reaction of rationalizing and truing to find the root cause...

Is EXACTLY what's done with criminals from white guys...

People say "if it was your famb, you wouldn't be saying that"

You're right...

But I think j the color issue is the reason why tend to personalize it...

Think about it...

This old white man got killed... And he just so happens to look like an average uncle, grandpa, or father of a white person...

News media outlets with white anchors and white owners will sympathize with him more than the black community...

On the flip... Let's say a black dude gets killed... More black people will sympathize because he looks like an uncle or a brother...

Happens all the time in schools... White teachers are quicker to condemn a black kid as a black teacher would because to the black teacher, he resembles her family members...

Not excusing their actions, but I think the race plays into the public's perception...

lets be real here bruh, its a wrap for them.
my boy's dad got hit up with a life sentence...

Back in 92...

It's very doable with good behavior...

Had another homey that murdered a dude during a robbery (I know too many robbers :smh: )

Of the 3, one got life. He pulled the trigger and conspired the whole thing.

The other two got 15 years.

They were all 16..

Plus they're kids..

I think they will be able to come up for parole in 25 years if the get life sentences
Yea they juveniles so they gon get out at some point in life ...probly be in juvi till 17/18, then real prison for another 15-20 years
They took a mans life :smh: , n they ain't even gon get to live theirs cuz of this terrible action :smh:

Nothing scarier then a teenager with a gun or somebody under the age of 23.

what's any less scary about an older person with a gun?
Idk where you from but youngins are reckless and want any excuse to let them things fly. Kids where I grew up that I remember when they had snotty nose are now teenagers walking around holding. they running in folks houses and just acting a fool. Teenagers usually don't value life as much as someone the age of 25 or older.

I hear you but I'd be just as worried about some crazy old bastard personally.

I never said they did, just that I'd be just as worried about an old person with a gun as i would some youngster.

yikes
RIP to the dead

educate the kids to pick up a book, ball, a hobby...violence must end. these kids just threw their youth away. gonna spend their young adult life incarcerated

crazy because it's not even a bad area, it's around St Joes University not too far from the main line

the guys daughter usually walks the dog with him but that night he told her it was too late :smh:

Just google mapped the area, looks like a cool area to live.

However...64th & Girard...less than a mile away is the straight TRENCHES. Unfortunate situation all the way around. Smh.

I hope they turn their lives around while in prison... 20+ years down the line, they'll be up for parole.
You know how the game goes.. Prisons rarely truly rehabilitate. Dudes go to prison and learn new tricks, get hardened to not care anymore, and the kill or be killed nature in prison is directly responsible.

Add to the fact that a dude with a much less serious felony is blackballed from ever getting another real job, so they usually resort to illegal ways to make money again.

Imagine if that felony is murder. Its gonna be HARD for these dudes to come out and be active members of society. Prison ain't built fit that unfortunately. Its built so cats can come back. And it works.
The cards fixed.

so much truth, famb...

So much truth.

:smh:

God bless.

These young boys committed an action that had life-altering consequences.

We can wish their upbringing was different, that they should have knew better, that the gentleman didnt put up a defense, etc. etc.,

but these kids messed up, took a lfe, ruined a family, and ruined their own lives.

For that, they gotta go to prision.

Overbrook is the hood man. Where he was walking may not have been "hood" but he was right down the street from the hood.

I'm all for the ideal that prison should be rehabilitative and a place we send people with the hopes of getting better, but there's a threshold for me personally. Child rapist, murderers, things like that, I don't want you to get better and live a happy life.
