DOPE Starring Shameik Moore, Tony Revolori, Kiersey Clemons, Zoe Kravitz, Blake Anderson, Keith Stan

I thought he did smash Chanel.

If I remember correctly, he was putting his clothes back on all happy....then noticed his pack was gone, and went to the bathroom where she was naked and doing lines.

After that, she earled on him
No he didn't get to, she told him to "get ready" in the other room. While he was getting ready, she took his bag because she already knew what was in it. She wanted him to, but she messed up the interview and he got pissed and stressed about being late.

This needs to be said but the main character's band was doo doo.

Honestly as a punk band they weren't bad...that's how 90's punk sounded.

Movie was good but I feel it was missing that oomf, it wasn't great. It gave me a lot of nostalgia and that I thoroughly enjoyed.

I don't know what it was but it lacked. Still a nice film though.

The one thing I didn't like though was that they didn't explain the whole drug ordeal.

Who called Malcolm? Who were the guys in the red El Camino?

Kind of left that whole mix up on it's own. Would've liked them to tie it altogether.

Another thing was the interview with AJ. I had no idea he was implying to Malcolm to distribute the product himself.

I thought he was hinting at giving the product to who he truly believes he should give it to, and by that I assumed they would meet again at AJ's house afterward and do the exchange there.

That way, AJ wouldn't be so caught up at work.

Rented this movie on YouTube a few days ago and thought it was pretty good. They did that bit Tyga like Chris Brown in Stomp the Yard lol

Really enjoyed this movie and couldn't take my eyes off the screen. I really think this will be a cult favorite, generational favorite very soon for teenagers.

I really liked Dope. It'll definitely become a cult favorite. It feels like a West Coast / Hip Hop Napoleon Dynamite.. The underdog with some quirks becoming a hero type figure in the end, all while dealing with an environment that's trying to hold him back.

My favorite part started when they were introduced to Jaleel (Quincy Brown character). That scene in the restaurant was pretty funny. Speaking of Quincy Brown, everybody should check out the movie "Brotherly Love" on Netflix. He did a pretty good job in that movie.

Finally got around to seeing this, and thought it was a pretty good movie. I don't know why I thought Chanel Iman was Jennifer Lewis for a bit  I also understand now what y'all were talking about a bunch of pages back where it seemed like "*****" was thrown around like crazy. It did seem more forced than anything. Tyga getting shot in the chest full on   :pimp:

Saw that a couple months ago, and thought that was a really good movie. Wasn't expecting that twist near the end at all by the time it happened

I enjoyed Brotherly Love as well.  Quincy ain't the best actor though, movie would have been real nice with a bigger budget.
