Nike Zoom 5.0 shoe

Bought my son a pair of Nike Zoom 5.0 shoes in May of last year. In January this year one shoe started to come apart. Contacted Nike, sent shoes back for "review" and was told it was normal wear. Pay over $100 dollars for shoes and they basically can't last more than 6 months! Is anything their error in manufacturing or not? Thought they stood by their products. Not sure for what reason they need to replace the shoe?

typically no one replies to these threads, but i feel like helpin' out (because why not, today is Air Max Day)

That's the longevity of Nike products, but if your son used it for every single occasion, it is bound to happen, even if it goes for only 7 months. It's what they call, "wear and tear."

Those Nike Free 5.0s are mesh and nubuck material on the upper. If you wanna get him the same shoes and pay a bit less, this thread right here will help: http://niketalk.com/t/146443/current-coupon-codes-requests-or-s-warning

or you can use RetailMeNot for discount codes on sites like Foot Locker and Eastbay.

also, if you want more answers, I doubt you'll get more in this thread, but you can post about it here if you want to get more answers, although I can't guarantee responses for your issue: http://niketalk.com/t/569760/2014-nike-free-5-0-flyknit-free-4-1-14/1110#post_22973019

hope that helps!

Agreed, though shoes or beat to hell. You can't hold Nike accountable for that amount of wear in such a short period of time. If you want to more durable shoe, you're going to have to pay more than what you did for a Nike free.
