Kendrick Lamar IS The GREATEST Rapper Of All Time (Vol. Hear Me Out. LOOOONG read)

Drake is the easiest rapper to slander

 nobody is hating on Drake, at least I'm not. He's one of my favorites but I can also call a spade, a spade.

He's one of the most influential artist out there, doesn't mean what we're saying isn't true.

Talking about whats going on around you & making positive music is two different things

Kendrick makes positive music with a message, nwa just spoke on what went on around them

drake didnt grow up in the hood obviously he isnt gonna speak on something hes not familiar with

Drake is a legend however you wanna dissect his music
That 0-100 track got you feeling some type of way huh?

We're not talking about great, we're talking about greatest of all time. I don't hear anyone saying shaq is better than Jordan.

Drake has 0 classic albums.

If you want to say Kendrick has none that's fine, we all have our opinions.

Drake is the wave burglar.

You buzzing? oh he's gonna jump on your song to pretend he's giving you a look meanwhile stealing your flow to run with.

Future

Migos

Weeknd

They girls always listen to drake so they feel some type of way about the guy

6 year run dropping nothing but hits but wanna compare him to vanilla ice, flo rida & pitbull :smh:
just Give the man his props

Are you Middle Eastern or white by any chance? Drake has the biggest white and middle eastern fan base.

Pitbull was a rapper and had some damn good rap albums. His first two albums were underrated and worth checking out.

How could you forget Big Sean? That's the flow that got him big and stole it from his boy and pretended it was his.

I'm sure Drake being a swag jacker will go ignored or justified

While Kendrick will still get discredited for being original and having something to say because he "doesn't have Drake's longevity" or whatever the excuse is.

Are you antidope antidope ? He has the worst taste in music and his opinions on Jay and Drake are embarrassing to mankind.

I remember back in the day when Nelly came out. Message boards were all over this guy, just like Drake. Few years later, hype died down. Back then cats were saying Nelly could rap and Country Grammar and Nellyville were great albums, platinum and full of hits. Now you bring up Nelly and he could never rap and he was soft and he made pop music. I can't wait to hear what people say about Drake in a few years.

It's because his stans big him up so damn much. I've been an admitted Drake hater forever , but mess with his last tape heavy.

Honestly if it wasn't for the stans who big him up to be hip hops savior and a legend, I wouldn't have hated on him half as much as I did.

Does he make enjoyable music? Yes.
Does that make him hip hops savior? Not even close.

Oh, that's evident by the way Drake bites any new and up and coming artist flow and passes it off as his own. This man took Fredo Santana's flow for goodness sake

But "it ain't about who did it first, it's about who did it right."

Right?

No one is original anymore. Rap has been around for way too long. I hear 2Pac, Outkast, Jazz, James Brown and Em all in this album. Being a mainstream artist and making this type of an album in 2015 is as different as it gets. He made the album he wanted, not what the radio, labels and other rappers are making.

I'm so tired of all these current rappers having the same producers, doing collabs, using each other's flows and basically kissing. During the 90s, rappers had similarities but they were still doing their own thing. No Limit and Cash Money had similarities but you could tell them apart. UGK and Outkast had their own sound. Bad Boy and Death Row, their own sound. I can't tell Drake, Big Sean, Wayne, Kanye, Travis Scott, Future and all these fools apart at times. They all have the same damn beats, flows, signing, bass. It's ******* baffling.

Nelly was making hits from 00-06/07. Nelly also wasn't jewish or signed to one of the biggest rapper's for his debut.

I haven't heard a single person call Drake "hip hop's savior" and only one person in this thread has called him a legend so the Stan argument eludes me.

Drake is a cultural phenomenon whether or not someone enjoys his musical content. The comparisons to Nelly and Vanilla Ice are literally ridiculous.

According to statistics, Drake is literally as popular as the Beatles. His cultural longevity is evident.

I'm not calling him the greatest rapper of all time nor am I calling him musically superior or equivalent to Kendrick or other greats, but sometimes we need to "call a spade a spade".

Maybe the word I should've used is "different," but even then I can't sit here say Kendrick sounds like anybody in particular. That's just my view.

Of course you can be influenced and have traces of other artist in your music.

Grillz was HUGE in 05. Then he had another hit with Janet Jackson in 06. So 05-06. His album in 08 went gold. 2010 he had a quadruple platinum single.

Please don't bring up the swagger jacking because people are gonna just ignore it. Drake is on the blogs just like us and when someone's gets a buzz or following he hops on the popular songs that's already buzzing and his fans say he made said artist

grillz falls in line with the sweat/suit and 04/05 timeframe i gave.. grillz was his big hit from one..and over and over from the other

don't remember ever hearing the janet song but that was her song.

now i do remember seeing years later that he had a huge song in 2010..funny thing is i never heard it ever..so i'm not sure which stations they played it on

but props to him for having a huge hit 10 years later

edit: looked it up and that 4x plat song is listed as "pop, r&B on wiki
