Got to hold these today and I must say the leather was average/mediocre at best... While I love the colorway..the materials aren't there.... This leather comes as a real disappointment, as I'd thought Jordan brand had finally turned the corner on the quality, considering they did such a good job on the marvins

Yea seems real hot or miss... The really miss on all the low tops [emoji]128532[/emoji], have yet to see a low top Jordan have the same quality materials as the mids and highs that were remastered

It didn't take this release to let us know lol. It's been downhill since the first couple of releases of the Columbia 4 and oreo 4s

Agreed. And I would argue that those releases weren't that great either. The original release of both of those 4's were much better quality and shape.

The MTM 7s are superb. But the other 7s, save the French blue pair, have been part for the course.

I am guessing you didn't get the white/infrared 6 low, those featured pretty good leather.

I copped the infrared 6 lows, the leather is definite better than most lows ... Guess I'll check my pair again when I get off.. I just remember the leather being kind of thick... But it wasn't as soft as the champagne or Martian 7's... Not even sure it was better than the metallic 5'a

Just felt up my pair and that leather is just as stiff as the statue 9's, if not more so... That toe box is tough [emoji]128170[/emoji]

Yea these aren't quite cardboard leather, but the definitely could have been better, especially around rhe toe box

The Bordeaux, hare, French blue, Barcelona night/day, cigar n champagne 7s this year were all decent build and good feeling materials used on each release respectively. Only ones that didn't get that great of leather was the N7 7s this summer which was weird because they were OD limited but oh well those were still better than the materials used on these statue 9s
White infrared 6s feature both smooth and tumbled leather on the upper. French 7s, Oreos, Columbia 4s, and Chicago 10s all had that tumbled goodness that I definitely put over these 9s. Marvin 7s and BOB 10s leather is so soft you can't just feel on em twice and don't even get me started on chicagos and sbbs.
These 9 tho.. Its like some random gentry era afterthought from pre-2012 that they just threw into this remaster mix. ***** feel unpleasant in hand, didn't even bother to consider copping

I cosign everything u just said and yea the leather on these is identical to the N7 7's forgot I even bought those, this year has been heavy lol... Thought I'd throw the infrared 6 in the same boat, tho the tumbled parts put them slightly ahead... Repped though for knowing your sneakers [emoji]128526[/emoji]

I know this isn't an OG cw or anything of the sorts, and it seems JB is really starting to pull rabbits out of their arses with these cws and stories, but I actually like the shoe. Regardless of quality, I'll still be TRYING to cop come Saturday. Also lets be real, if this shoe had an LS or Limited sticker tag, a lot of you nay-sayers would be all over these talking about pickin up multiples and resell this resell that. Me personally, I always just wanna get my 1 and be good!!!!

I have 5 size runs, but they send my location extra so we can compete numbers wise with FTL/HOH/CHAMPS literally within walking distance of each other in my mall.
Not knocking anybody who likes these, but they're Garbo imo.
