Official Adidas Derrick Rose Thread - D Rose 11

Kickgenius got their Rose 6's from adidas. They posted a video earlier in the week when the package arrived and thanked adidas for it. I like their channel but I've noticed anytime it comes to a rose shoe they tend to give it negative reviews, on the 6 they said they didn't like how it looked and that the performance only "gets the job done". The rose 6 didn't even get their "seal of approval". Personally I love these shoes and can't wait to for my pair of mi adidas ones to arrive.

Does Adidas accept returns on worn shoes? I know they got 30 day return policy. Just want to make sure. I REALLY hate the "suede" they used. Really insulting. I'll bite the bullet on the aways when they release.

Also @duke40, how do you feel the shoe fits? I thought it was a tad long but width felt good. Want to size down but afraid it'll be too narrow.

Yeah kg lost all credibility when they said no stamp of approval I've seen them give the stamp to some questionable kicks but not the Rose 6 lol one other thing they said they wanted more court feel in the forefoot but complained about the Rose 5 lack of boost in forefoot smh

I hate to be that guy, but its a new season and i gotta cop something.
Im liking the looks and overall reviews on D Rose 6, but i just don't know yet. Being a ''ok'' athletic point guard, with some injuries in the knees, i'd say im pretty fast, 6ft - can you guys recommend me something. I signed up so you guys can drop some knowledge on me. I gave that info so you can kinda decide for me, since you know more. I am battling between xx9 and the D Rose 6, but i am just not sure. Which one should i go for, or should i look for something else entirely? We are talking an overall, cushioning, materials, traction, that's why i kind of described myself as a baller so you guys have an insight.
I'd appreciate ANY comments, just dont hate on me or joke around, i just need some help from y'all, thanks

Duke, how's the sinthetic upper of the aways compared to something like the upper of the Clutchfit Drive?

Good comparison but no give like the CF areas had. Feels thinner but still strong. Somewhere between the l-trains last year and CF.

^Thanks for the review Jeff :nthat:

Best part might have been the sign-off

Nice review jeff.  Wondering if there is a major difference between the home and away material before i pull the trigger.  I like the away cosmetically better as opposed to the home (diamond mesh). But if the home performs and fits better im gonna have to sacrifice the looks.

Big difference in materials. Homes are a mesh overlay. Away is straight synthetic.

Only have aways but I don't mind the synthetics. They flex well. Review coming this weekend.

Plenty of people can tell you about the XX9.  Great overall performer, assuming you're playing indoors.  Has a great blend of comfort, fit, responsiveness, transition and traction.  It's a Jordan shoe that really delivers on court.  Court feel isn't the best and it doesn't feel super low to the ground, but I like playing in them a lot.  Picked up an extra pair because I like them that much.

Rose 6 just dropped so not many people have gotten extensive time in them yet.  I do want to try these out at some point though.

You might also want to look at the following:  Curry 1, Clutchfit Drive 1, KD VII, Brand Black J Crossover 2 to name a few.

i don't think they complained about the lack of boost. they said they couldn't feel the boost as good with the other layer on top wearing double socks. if they complained about the lack of boost, one of them wouldn't have put the crazylight boost 2015 ahead of the Rose 5.

and which questionable kicks are in front of Rose 6? keep in mind these are not all tested at the same time. they test them as they got them and some shoes are the best at the time they got them.
after watching their review the whole reason for "gets the job" done instead of "seal of approval" is because they didn't feel like the shoe was an extension of their foot. it doesn't mean it's a bad shoe. Rose shoes are suppose to be the top of the line shoe from Adidas, but they didn't use top of the line material (such as adidas's primeknit) was their whole point.

personally i'll wait till i get a chance to get them below retail and try them myself. review are just something you watch to gather some idea how others feel until you can form your own.

as far as xx9 goes, my personal experience is they are the best basketball shoes i've ever played in. this is compare to all the kobe's (other than 5,6 because those were too narrow for me), all the Lebrons (didn't get the 13 yet. waiting on CW), all the tmacs, and Rose. the problem with the Rose for me is that they were always too narrow for my mid foot and i don't even have a wide foot and the lack of cushion.

my second favorite would probably be melo m11 and the kobe x elite low not far behind. i no longer own any non-signature ball shoes, so don't ask me about those.

from initial tried on.. these are the most comfy basketball shoe along with the hyperrevs. But i can see myself wearing the white pair casually. Would never even think about wear the hyperrevs casually.

court feel is not kobe 8 or CL Boost 2015 but not lebron X either. Will have to actually play in em first
