This is my first pair of custom shoes ever and I'm really glad with how they turned out. Thank goodness Hoosiers expired or I may have ended up going bankrupt making pairs haha

My Away colorway finally came today. First impressions are really good (aside from Adidas's double boxing job that left the box mangled). They look even better in person.  The cushion reminds me of the 2015 Crazylight Boost mixed with the Lebron 10 (only more responsive).  Awesome transition in the full length cushion but it still feels fairly flexible (unlike the Lebron 10).  I haven't hooped in them yet but the step in and walking comfort is awesome. My only concern is that when I tried them on I was wearing no show socks and the lateral (outside)  portion of the heels exaggerated lockdown/ support feature was rubbing my ankle/calf (aka cankle) area. It was very noticeable and I would probably rub my leg raw almost instantly if I tried to run or play. So quarter or crew cut socks will be a must. I might even need to use a light brace to cover that area.

I'm a traction kinda guy. How is it on Rose 6?.. compared to?

And sizing? I'm sz 9 in CL boost

i was messsing around on Mi adidas with these.. but for someeee reason in my opinion. blue doesnt look right on this silhouette

bought the 5s last year and they were roomy in the toe box and heel, ended up doubling up on bball socks and they fit better with them. used the hoosiers coupon to score some aways last week (half size down) and even with one pair of socks they are too snug. i should have copped 2 pairs, tts and half size down and return whichever didn't fit with adidas free returns. anyone know if adidas does exchanges online or is it strictly return/rebuy? if i end up having to rebuy, can i still get the 30% off or am i buying at less of a discount (15% email promo)?

They don't let you exchange. Only return and repurchase. Which means Hoosiers code doesn't work anymore

If you have an Adidas store nearby you might be able to do an exchange there.  I dont see why not.

Another thing you might be able to do is order your correct size from Adidas's website..... take both pairs to the Adidas store once they arrive..... return the correct size (getting credited back your un-discounted amount)..... then exchange the wrong size pair (that was discounted) for the correct size pair (that was full price) that you just returned.  Not sure if Adidas would honor this but I know some stores can.

After my disappointment with my order, I think I'll go for a MiAdidas. It's a bummer that Adidas doesnt offer the smoked outsole and the red X-plate

Got my hoosiers discounted pair in.  Glad I waited for the Aways.

The upper isn't as rigid as I thought it would be.

For sizing, YMMV (which doesn't even need to be said but I'm saying it anyway):

9.5 in JCrossover 2, Lillard, Curry 1, Hyperrev

10 in Kobe IX, XX9, Clutchfit Drive, Curry 2

I went 9.5 and it's definitely the right choice for me.  Length still feels slightly long but the toe box is snug.  I get where people are coming from when they say TTS, but I definitely needed my smaller size in these.  Just how I like my shoes to fit for playing in.

Even with fairly thick crew Jordan socks (not as thick as Elites but close) the damn lateral support was causing me discomfort.  Only on my left foot but still really disappointing. I will probably need to wear a brace or wristband there to stop the chafing (even just for casual wear).  Everything else about the shoe feels amazing.

looks like there was a similar complaint that was shown on YouTube. would you say it was because of the strap, or because of the way the shoe is cut/shaped on that side?

Both. The strap is a problem because of the cutout on the lateral side exposing it. If the collar cushion was uniform like the mediaI side this wouldn't  be a problem.

Yeah I could see that side being an issue for some people.  Doesn't affect me at all, but I could easily see it chafing for others.

I'm still getting used to the lacing system on them.  That second to last eyelet is really deep in the shoe.  It's also one of those shoes where you have to tie the last eyelet really securely and it will make all the difference in the world.  If I leave that part even slightly loose, my heel starts slipping.  Definitely not one of those "throw em on and go" types of shoes.

Looking forward to Primeknit versions.
