He has a point that they need time to grow; and also that there are a lot of big money interests who stand to benefit from Tidal's failure. If the artist gets 75% royalties from Tidal that's a huge change in the usual model for what the artist gets.
If Tidal succeeds, it has the chance to set a huge precedent of the artist getting more than the label. People at these labels have been getting rich off of artist publishing for decades so they have huge incentive to make sure Jay's streaming service fails. So all these Complex, whatever blog articles popping up proclaiming Tidal's failure already should be looked at with a suspicious eye.
