Why do people attack comedians..for being comedians?

That was weak! Tracy Morgan ripped it up couple yrs ago with a funnier comment

It's just comedy, black comedians talk about white people all of the time. Don't say I'm not telling the truth either.
and white comedians talk about black people

What's your point?
I've heard white comedians talk about a lot of things, but besides Kramer screaming ******, black jokes usually aren't one of them.

And here I thought it was a well known double standard. There's nothing really wrong with it, it's just how it is.

That comment wasn't even that offensive. That could've been on nickelodeon. I've heard 10 times worse on South Park.

People need to change their tampons and stop crying about everything. Just need to relax and enjoy their life a little bit

Louis CK and the ****** routine?

Its a double standard but people get upset when you talk about white... Just like they get upset when you talk about blacks

Mimicking white people is the black comedian standard, everyone laughs. Louis CK is one of few btw.

Cause people nowadays are sensitive, emo losers with nothing else to do except whine and cry about any and everything.
This about sums it up.

Everybody gets "offended" by every little thing nowadays.

Patrice O'Neal nails it in the video above.

Lemme put it this way, it's ok if you find this funny just don't play the "people are sensitive nowadays" card. Some black chick on my fb just posted this and said she doesn't understand the hate, 2 days ago she was complaining about frat boys in Oklahoma singing about black people hanging from trees like apples. Some people want other cultures and races to be sensitive to their feelings and struggles but can't set an example. Chris Jenner is clearly going through a VERY difficult life transition that I honestly can't relate to, I certainly wouldn't joke about it....but I can tell it's difficult for him. IMO this joke was tasteless and very ignorant. Jamie Fox should be ashamed of himself.

The issue here is context. What Jamie Foxx said was a joke that wasn't meant to be hurtful or to denigrate Bruce. The people in that frat singing that Black people can hang from a tree but they'll never been part of their frat organization wasn't a joke. So the black chick being upset in this instance isn't hypocritical.

People are gonna say what they want to say... freedom of speech, I suppose.

If you can dish it, you should be able to take it.

You are part of the problem, because people who offend others always bring up context.....I'm actually ashamed that you are disagreeing with me, it's ok if you find it funny or even if you find it OK, all I'm asking is that you understand why someone would be offended by it period. I don't think those "kids" were just a bunch of stupid frat boys but I will NEVER make excuses like you did for them, I did not think that silly public apology was genuine. It's only a joke when it offends YOUR PEOPLE.

I'm confused; how did I make excuses for them?

Friggin hypocrites, lemme put it this way if a white  person does a black joke half of yall would be offended. Especially if it's something not funny and tasteless.
The problem is there is always a group of people that are going to be offended nowadays......about every little thing. It's quite tedious actually.

Quite often the funny is obscene.

Honestly, people aren't really offended about a particular situation unless it hits close to home.

For some reason, certain topics are typically considered taboo, even under the guise of entertainment.

Two examples, when rebook dropped rick Ross after the perceived date rape line. Uhh, dude raps about all types of unethical behavior but somehow this was the last straw.

And when Wayne caught heat about the emmit till line. People were saying he should have more respect. He's a gangster rapper. 99 percent of his music is degrading and disrespectful.

You want it to be one way.....but it's the other way.

The world is getting soft. Saw an MTV true life episode last night while I was flipping thru channels. MTV True Life: I'm Being **** Shamed. Then I saw an article about why Married With Children would not last in todays TV the main points were Fat Shaming. Things you could "joke" about a couple of years ago are looked down upon.

I can't believe "**** shaming" is a thing :smh: I saw things going downhill when folks started talmbout cyber bullying. So glad I grew up in a home where everybody roasted.

The list of not just shows but consumable media overall that wouldn't be acceptable today is a looooooooooooong one

I blame the internet. Srs. It makes it easier for people to whine about things they dislike and actually be heard.

I can see how cyber bullying could be bad. Imagine getting clowned at school back in the day. You'd get laughed at go home and that was it. Now it its like you get made fun of go home and memes or worse made about you. It's like 24/7 insults. This soft generation can't handle that.
