Traffic is CRAZY this morning inside the beltway. I'm not sure how protocol works for this, but how is this guy only assigned one guard...and why was it from a private company, and not a actual cop? This should have never happened... :smh:

A Virginia hospital was placed on lockdown this morning after a prisoner escaped from custody, authorities said.

The situation occurred at Inova Fairfax Hospital, located in the city of Falls Church, Virginia, less than 10 miles southwest of Washington, D.C.

The prisoner, identified as Wossen Assaye, overpowered a private security guard and took the guard's gun, Fairfax County Police said. Police said Assaye had been taken to the hospital for medical treatment after attempting to harm himself.

It was actually 2 guards according to CNN ..

"(CNN)A Virginia prisoner managed to escape from a hospital room early Tuesday after grabbing a security guard's gun and running off in a hospital gown, authorities said.

There were two guards with him at the time, police said.

One shot was fired when the prisoner, Wossen Assaye, overpowered one of the guards, Fairfax County police said."

They hired Craig & Day Day to guard a bank robber known as the "bicycle bandit" :wow:

This is what I don't get? I'd love to see the security footage as to how this inmate got past two armed guards. :smh:

Cops is posted up all up and down 495. Some of them are standing outside their cruisers just watching ****.

My son is probably holed up somewhere waiting for the heat to die down. This is a dude who robbed banks and escaped on bikes. Clearly, he's good at evading capture.
