BLOODBORNE Tips Trick Tactics and Gripes (><) thread

I just kept the grave stone between me and the fire guy and handled the other 2.

Gotta hit those parries too.

Yeah the environment comes in handy in that fight to say the least.  You basically have to use it to avoid those fireballs.  When dude hit that final form and the tentacles started flying out the ground I was screaming "oh ****!" to myself

What's the RPG elements like in this game? I can only be bothered with it if there's all kinds of weapons and armor upgrades.

There are plenty of upgrades but not a ton of different weapons.  There are some different types of armor but they all have their own strengths/weaknesses.  If that's all you're really concerned about you should probably pass.

I mean it should be fairly obvious if you've read anything about the game, but the game's difficulty level is a lot higher compared to most games nowadays.  People like a challenge and Bloodborne certainly fulfills that.  Mix that with great action/RPG gameplay and that's pretty much it.  You should go read some reviews or watch some gameplay videos if you're still curious.  Coming from someone who never really got into any of the Souls games (and yes, I did give them a shot), I wasn't really considering Bloodborne until I read all the amazing reviews.  Copped it and I'm certainly glad I did.  There hasn't been a game like this in a long time where I keep finding myself wanting to jump back in and see how much further I can progress, so if you're on the fence I'd say go for it.

Worst comes to worst, hit up the ol' Gamestop used game 'trick' and if you don't like it just make sure you return it within 7 days for a full refund.

Thanks what's the games selling point? What's the main draw?
Exploring, bosses, and upgrading your abilities.

The atmosphere makes this game tense. It takes about 30 hours to complete.

Give it at least 3-5 hours.

It's one of the best ps4 exclusives, so it's a must try.

This game is scary as **** tho

Not "BOO" scary just creepy as ****.

Some enemies and bosses will literally make you say the word "why" out loud to your TV

As in "Why in the name of God does this exist"

I play with earbuds. Just the background noise is unsettling. Dudes coughing. Foreign footsteps. Whispers.

So uncomfortable.

The scenery after the Spider battle bruh....creepy !!!

I'm not feeling this game that much. It'a not horrible, but the gameplay just feels bland and repetitive to me.I could've gotten over that and the difficulty if it had a good story to it. For example, I'm at the Father Gascoigne fight right now. Who the hell is this guy? I mean I know what he is but not his purpose. I have no motivation to go back to him after dying so many times when he's just some random @!!@ trying to harass me  anyway, cleric beast only took me 2 tries to beat, but damn this guy is hard.
