Full Time WORKING Nter's - How do you deal with the grind ?

I'm looking for something to invest in. Like I make decent money but I want multiple incomes

My job lets me do whatever I want so that helps  set my own times and all that. I just have to do my job and I pretty much have complete freedom. I've never had that anywhere else I wasn't a manager at, so that's cool.

People ask me how I work two jobs and do classes....

I don't even know anymore to be honest. Starting to burn out on it but once i finish school i can drop to one job. You don't realize how much free time you really have until you don't have any.

A relevant thread to my situation. Usually go home after work and watch my favorite shows or netflix. Dont engage in recreational activities regularly. Just trying to save as much money as I can

Man when I get home from work I just try not to fall asleep until 10

If a knock out to early then I'm going to be up late. It's the worst

Good topic. Appreciate these topics.

I'm on a pretty decent schedule, but I've fallen into routine. Add to the fact that my work is deathly boring and it just permeates the rest of my life.

+1 on the investing. I have a job that I have to either put in 25years or be 55 before I retire...

I started too young. So I have to work 30years... But to hell with all that

I want to be able to RESIGN by 40-45 MAX.

I wanna invest in stocks, bonds, real estate and other businesses.

I'll be dammed if I drive a bus for 28 more years

Im currently working two full time jobs at the moment, I hardly have time for myself or family. But, when I do I try to go to the gym to keep in shape. My schedule consist of working from 10pm-6am then 7-3. Im trying to save up as much as I can so i can go to school and focus on a career.

sc415, that's a crazy schedule man.  you must be young ?  anyone in there late 20's and on body would have a hard time holding up.

what kind of jobs are these that you're doing ?  if they're manual labor then even crazier.

I work for the county
5am-130pm
Me nday through Friday
Paid holidays off
I just plan to put in my 25 then retire
I'm 29 now
Me getting off so early
My job doesn't seem like a grind to me
I also use money to do trips for me and the fam
So we can get away from the normal routine of every day life
I think that's what breaks people down sometimes
Not taking a vacation and having time away from the job and every day stresses the of life
U need that break sometimes to unwind
Sometimes I catch my self always thinking about bills
Like ok when I get paid LEMME do this pay this pay that
I be putting unnecessary stress in myself
I guess

Not really young anymore, I turn 25 next month. I need to get my head straight and decide on what I want to do. Im undecided on a career path, and dont know what will make me happy besides getting money Lol( I know I shouldnt have that mentality). One of the jobs I work at consist of loading luggages into aircraft, and so on. So far it hasn't taken a toll on my body. The 2nd one consist of working in a warehouse, less work on my body.

I work 7am-4pm M-Fri. My work/life balance is pretty good. My commute to work is about 15-20 minutes. After work I just go to the gym which is literally 5-10 min away from my job. I try to spend as much time away from the office whether I'm on break or lunch. I just can't be stuck inside a building all day long.

Not much of a "grind" unless you have multiple jobs or a job that you don't like working.

Most of America "grinds" or work 9-5's.

Usually finish work around 5 pm, I stop by the gym, then run home and eat what my angel had prepared for me, then shower, play with my son, watch a movie or invite some fellas for a video game tournament...otherwise I read or go on niketalk/YouTube/worldstar, etc.. Sometimes I might go for a walk...but mostly I just want to relax in my baseman, making beats, watch tv, play video games. My life is pretty good right now, stress free and very relax.

By the time I finish up at work, go to the gym, run errands, and eat it's late AF.  If I had to do this everyday I would resent my job.  Luckily I can work remotely 2-3 days a week.  This gives me a chance to catch up on anything I need to, run errands, etc.

I tip my hat to you bruh. That's some serious effort you're putting out.

I'm almost 30 and i've recently decided to commit to being an artist. I've always known i should have gone this route but for the longest time i was scared of failing.

But after 7-8 yrs of eating **** in other jobs it's come to the point where i have no choice but to go for it.

What i've learned it that this life is a one shot deal so if you want to do anyhting you need to get after it as soon as possible.

You need to spend as much time as humanely possible doing stuff you enjoy. That includes work. There are always better looks out there.

@supremeape, what sort of job/field are you in ?  7 days on and then 5 days off seems kinda interesting

The daily grind isn't life. If you have to grind to get through your day your living life wrong my friend. Enjoy it while you can man cause one day it'll be gone. Find your passion and pursue it, forget about the money and never look back. I'm about to become a fireman which has been my dream since I was a child. I will have a ton of free time which will be spent enjoying my lifE and pursuing my other passions. While at work I will be dedicating my time helping other human beings. I couldn't ask for more.

Imo dedication to your body, mind and helping to spread happiness is all you need in the world. Just enjoy the process.

Current College Senior here, however I spent one summer interning 9-5 and it depressed the hell out of me knowing this was pretty much the lifestyle that was waiting for me after graduation.

I spoke to my dad for advice on this as he works 80+ hours a week working from 9-5 as an IT manager, and 12-7 as graveyard shift doorman.

Basically to summarize what he told me was that we all have this ideal image of where we all wanna be financially in our careers and its easy to forget the crazy amount of hours we need to put in to get there. It may take some 5, 10, heck even 20+ years to get where they wanna be but the most important thing is to embrace every day of that journey however long it takes. Live in the now, and stop spending so much time looking forward and comparing your path to others cuz then once you do finally reach your goal, you'll realize you spent that whole time on autopilot practically not living.

It's the rainy days that make the sunny days feel so nice, embrace the grind my brothers!

The thing is, what did you do this past weekend? It‘s indicative of what you like doing. I spent most of mai time doing chores, and watching movies and being lazy. Weather was kinda crappy, so just relaxed, did some errands and cooked.

Weekends are great. Spent time with my gf, eat, chill get some extra sleep etc. it's to say do what you want and follow your dreams, except life and bills get in the way of that. If your dreams aren't paying for your expenses/bills then you have to do what you have to do and find one that does pay enough. This is whether you like the job or not

It's not that I hate my job or anything, but out of 7 days, work takes up 5. Just seems like life will pass us all by before we know it. Just kinda depressing to think about. So trying to create a different mindset for myself, so wondering what others do/think to be more positive.
