Fat Tuesday's opens in NYC today...gets closed down today due to brawl

The softness of Queens is right in the name.

What man lives in a borough named Queens?

KINGS County

My favorite borough. I always hated being forced to leave and come to the bronx

My sister is the only reason I'm still here. As soon as she goes to college I'm gone
5 boroughs

Bx
Bk
Queens
Manhattan
Long Island

SI irrelevant
I always say LI is the 5th borough

Went through Staten Island over the summer to get to the Jersey Shore, didn't realize it looked like hurricane sandy hit it all the time

This is so false but typical NY. Probably never left Brooklyn.

When people OUTSIDE the United States think of our country they actually think of CA before ANYTHING else. Doesn't matter what continent.

They might rarely know the difference between SF and LA, Bay Area and Southern California, but guarantee California is what they're thinking of.
Truth. Every single person that I've met outside of the States always mentions Cali, it's rare that NY even comes up. They are always fascinated with movie stars and the beaches, nice weather, asking the weirdest questions about famous people, blondes with D cups, etc. I think I've had one dude ask me a Q about NY and it was about skyscrapers actually...told guy that the "glass" building is actually in Chicago not NY.
You guys are delusional lol. One thing you can't argue is with facts and the fact is that NYC is and has been the most visited city by tourists. aka its what people from out of the states come to visit most..

so chill
Nah bro. You're delusional, I know it can be somewhat inherent in NYers.
laugh.gif

It doesn't matter if NYC is visited by more international tourist annually than any other city. More Americans visit Orlando, FL every year than anywhere else. Doesn't mean anything when we're talking about recognition which is what the conversation was about.

For a couple generations now, in most parts of the world California is the first thing foreigners think of when they think of the U.S.

LOL OK BRO.

All this queens slander :smh: you Celeste pizza eating broke boys need to swing through the legit spots in Queens instead of chilling in Mordor.

Brooklyn got love for Queens and vice-versa. The only two boroughs to get school off for Brooklyn-Queens Day :pimp:

****** from the Bronx mad because they live in 1945 Berlin
I think they renamed brooklyn queens day something else now and the other boroughs get that day off too because I remember freshmen year of hs I was mad because I had friends in bk tech that had it off but I didn't but my senior I'm pretty sure I had that day off

:smh:

The slander...

Every borough has it's good and bads... yes including Staten Island.

Staten Island is somewhere where you can buy a nice house for a good price and raise your family away from the hooligans in Queens, BK, BX, and Uptown.

Lived most of my life in Queens, but lived in BK, and smashed chicks from the BX and other places.
Don't try to justify SI. Plenty of good places to raise a family in Brooklyn/Queens/Manhattan

Queens as a whole may not be the hardest. There's neighborhoods like flushing and fresh meadows and ****. But take a trip on that subway and cats will be clutching their man purses.
Word to IRAQ (Lefrak City)
Word to 40 houses, baisley, south side, shadyville, all that

only place I go to in Queens is on the Blvd on Jamaica ave or Guy R Brewer, other than that I'll just stay in the Stuy. Queens really don't have much to offer in my opinion.

Sad that some people act like this. Ruined it for those who wanted to enjoy the place.

Staten Island really is the only irrelevant borough. Place is filled with glow in the dark guidos.

It's funny from an outsiders perspective how much Wu Tang has made Staten Island relevant. I just came back from NYC a couple of weeks ago and had no clue why Staten Island was the neglected borough. My dumb *** literally said "but Wu-Tang is from there" to a bunch of young heads that had no clue who they were and why I called it even Shaolin. From there, I kept my hip-hop knowledge to myself. Haha.

It's got to be a 50/50 split. I just don't think people outside the US are thinking of one state or city. More than likely, the places that people will recognize off the bat in the US is New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco. But it's definitely not just NY or CA.

Not trying to justify and I'm not from SI I'm Queens/BK, but a couple of older dudes I work with moved from BK/Queens to Staten Island and they said it's so good and peaceful with nice affordable houses.

I'm looking at things from a different perspective though. I've never been to SI only passed through it to go to Jersey or Six Flags, but I know for a better urban NY experience BX/Queens/BK/The City is where it's at.

When ever I said I was from america (and I was kinda shook to say I was from the U.S. cause most places hate us overseas) the first guess was always New York. it's not split b. I traveled a lot for pharmaceutical industry as a intern between 08/09-11

Edit: and I said in one of my last post. New York is the image for a foreigner then hollywood actors and dumb blonds not California it self. They don't care about no sf. if it wasn't those 2 it was gun loving rednecks and obese/fat people.

Staten Island isn't all bad. Not far from Manhattan/bk. City environment without all the rats. The guidos are bad but semi avoidable. Italian food is some of the best here.

Better than Westchester, Long Island, Queens, I'll go with the BX too.
