i was alittle too hype for this game, looks like i'm gonna lose a bet and now i gotta eat a booger :lol:

thankfully i didn't go with the original bet which was eat the other persons ... Yanks better pull one out their *** :lol:

Some encouraging things for this team, but I still think we hover around 81-81 unless we can bring in a few guys, and subtract some others.

2nd in Runs, Top 10 in 2B & 3B, 2nd in BB, T-1st in HRs, 9th in SB, 15th in BA, 7th in OBP, 7th in SLG

Defense all around the field is just great. If Didi settles down a bit more... There's not a bad fielder (if Young is in for Beltran)

But the pitching from the starters has to be better. Tanaka & Pineda have been great in the last 2 game. Eovaldi has been okay. Warren & CC have been bad.

Bullpen has been lights out... 3rd in ERA, 3rd in BA, T-5th in IP, T-3rd in least ER, 4th in OBP..



If....
1. We could make Chris Young the 4th outfielder. He'll cool down, but if you give him 120 games.... He'll get you 15-20 HRs, 60 RBIs, and decent defense
2. Get rid of Carlos Beltran. Somehow. Someway.
3. Get a righty bat out in RF. We need to be able to split that order a bit. Way too many lefties, even for Yankee stadium.
4. Get a # 3 Starter. Move CC to # 5. Make Adam Warren the spot starter. Put Esmil Rogers as an extra hand, give you 5 IP if need be, give you 1 IP. Doesn't matter.
