You guys have to lower your standards for CC. He's no longer an Ace. So when he doesn't pitch like one, you consider it a bad start.

But 6 innings, 2 ER, 7 Ks and a 1.000 WHIP is great for him at this point.

He still has good middle of the rotation games. The problem is he has little to no margin of error. And that's why he's no longer an Ace. He could make mistakes, and it mean nothing. Now a mistake could be 3-4 runs.

^ you're right ..

today's start considering how he's pitched was awesome. at this point i'll take it, just without the heart attack hr's ...

We're looking good out there :smokin . Bats are hot, Eovaldi and Warren are continuing to pitch well. And of course Betances/Miller time doing their thing.

bats aren't gonna stay hot forever, we need Ells back

i've been real impressed with Warren...filling his role as the 4/5 starter perfectly

Tanaka vs Scherzer Tuesday :pimp:

30th pick we took Kyle Holder from USD.

As compensation for losing Dave Robertson, the Yankees had the 30th pick in tonight’s draft and used it to take University of San Diego shortstop Kyle Holder. Baseball America had him ranked as the No. 38 prospect in this year’s draft, noting that his left-handed bat is a work in progress, but his glove is excellent. Shortstop is actually a fairly deep position in the lower levels of the Yankees’ system (Jorge Mateo, Tyler Wade, Abe Avelino, Angel Aguilar), but that’s a position where teams often stockpile a lot of depth, and MLB.com’s scouting video above notes that Holder is perhaps the best defensive player in this year’s class.
