My biggest fear is that.. If they don't get it done this year.. They won't in the next few, and head in the opposite direction.

I'm not worried about Ellsbury, Gardner, Didi, Headley & McCann. What they've done this year, is easily obtainable next year.

It's Teix and ARod that become a problem. What if this is a last ditch effort for them both, and next year is injury plagued guys again. Then what do we do offensively? We're stuck with those guys and CC for a couple of years taking up $70mil, pretty much handcuffing us. Maybe Teix on a new diet and A-Rod getting all that time off has added a couple years, but that time bomb could be around the corner.


As well as Beltran. If you factor in Beltran + A-Rod + Teix, it prevents us from calling up Judge. Or even going in a different direction, and chasing a ready RF in Free Agency, maybe even kills us keeping Chris Young, who would be an inexpensive yet valuable player.


That's why I panic.
