80-50 or 81-49


Then have 13 straight games against Blue Jays, Rays & O's. By then, we should end up building such a lead, we'll be fine.

According to MLB..

Severino is the 16th Best Prospect.
Judge is 21st Best Prospect.




Sanchez is 9th Catcher
Bird is 5th 1st Base
Refsnyder is 6th 2nd Base
Jagielo is 8th 3rd Base
Judge is 4th OF
Severino 3rd RHP

Mateo is just as good in the 20/80 scale as the 10th ranked SS.
 
Hold on to the prospecfs. Not worth trading them.

what do you guys think about Ian Kinsler?

i know he's on the back end of his career, but anyone's better than Stephen Drew. we probably wouldn't have to trade any of our top-tier prospects.

I think if the right guy comes along Sanchez should get traded.

Why?

1. McCann is still a top catcher in this league. He's still under contract 3 more seasons, 4 if you count the Team Option. He has at least 3 productive seasons at Catcher left. Where he'll hit 20+ HRs, Drive in 65RBI+. Not to mention call a great game & do very well defensive / throwing runners out.

If he was on the downside of his career, we would start to see the signs of this. Last season could have been a sign, but since he has bounced back tremendously, it seems like nothing more than a 1st Season on a New Team / League adjustment.

2. Gary Sanchez has slipped in our prospects, he was a can't miss, now he's a maybe. We also have Luis Torrens who is the 21st ranked prospect, but lost a year to a torn labrum. Sanchez is 22-1/2. Torrens just turned 19 on May 2nd.

When you look at the comparables

Sanchez: HIT 45 | PWR 60 | RUN 30 | ARM 70 | FLD 45 | OVR 50 (out of 20-80 scale)
Torrens: HIT 50 | PWR 45 | RUN 35 | ARM 60 | FLD 55 | OVR 45


Torrens
Many of New York's top catching prospects in recent years have been offense-first players, but Torrens profiles as a solid defender who can contribute with the bat.

He'll miss the entire 2015 season after surgery to repair a torn labrum in his shoulder in January, but he'll still be 19 when he returns in 2016.

He has a strong arm and has had no problems figuring out the quick footwork and transfer he needs as a catcher, throwing out 41 percent of basestealers in his first two pro seasons. Torrens' receiving is still a work in progress but he has the hands and athleticism to improve in that regard.

Torrens has a mature approach at the plate, showing patience and using the whole field. He has a quick bat and should provide double-digit home run power once he gets stronger. He may lack Gary Sanchez's potential impact bat but has a better chance of remaining a catcher.

Sanchez
Entering the 2011 season, the Yankees had the game's consensus top two catching prospects in Jesus Montero and Sanchez. Montero never put a lot of effort into catching, and his career has fizzled since he got traded to the Mariners, and some evaluators wonder if Sanchez might be headed down the same path. He continues to post solid but not spectacular offensive numbers, but his work ethic and maturity are concerns.

SaHe generates huge raw power with bat speed, strength and loft in his right-handed swing, and his throwing arm is well above average. He can lapse into an all-or-nothing approach at the plate at times, but he has enough offensive upside to profile as an everyday player if he has to move to first base.

If he can stay behind the plate, Sanchez could be an All-Star. He has no problems throwing out basestealers, but his blocking and receiving need a lot of work. He topped Double-A Eastern League catchers with 17 errors and 10 passed balls in 2014, often looking indifferent about his defense.

If there is a huge possibility of him moving to First, no thanks. Greg Bird is just as good.



Don't think Sanchez should be the untouchable guy he once was, and they should seriously consider seeing what he'd bring back.

this is why i said we should go after a starter a couple weeks ago...

season isn't over yet, bring Warren back into the rotation & bring up Severino for the time being..
