Hey guys

I'm working on some custom ASICS GLV's and have just finished customizing the inner lining of the sneaker which is synthetic fiber using Angelus paint with added fabric medium and Angelus 2 thin to reduce the thickness of the paint, very happy with the final product has kept original softness with no stiffness. What I need to know is, do or should I be using a finisher now on the lining as protection? I want to keep the original softness and am worried the finisher will make the fabric stiff! If anyone can help would be greatly appreciated!

Cheers

Dont use finisher on the lining! The finisher is made to become VERY stiff once dry. I would keep it as is, just allow the paint to settle for at least 48 hours before wearing.

Hope this helps!

Thanks very much! I thought it might do that just want to double check! Can I ask what fabric medium you would recommend with angelus? I have tried a couple with good results that I'm happy with but I'm a perfectionist haha

I am going to be customizing a Cool Grey 12 to make a blue and orange colorway. What would I mix to paint the inner liner of the sneaker?

Mixing the paint with a fabric medium (such as GAC-900) will give you the best results. Follow the directions on the GAC-900 bottle.

Alright thanks. I am also planning on using blue suede dye on top of the cool grey suede do you think that color will come out correctly? I do not have any prior experience with dying suede a new color. I am going for a New your Mets custom exact same colors as the Fontay Montana 9

Yeah, all colors should  work correctly over cool grey suede.
