finally finished JJ today. Marvel on Netflix is 2/2 from the field. Loved the series.

Tennant was great and was the best thing about the series. I legit started to sympathize with him at one point in the series and had to remind myself that he was a rapist and a murderer

bruh ep 9 when everything that couldve went wrong goes wrong. patsy why are you shooting the glass??? :smh:

Yeah episode 8 I think had me feeling Kilgrave for a second.

Bruh... Those last few minutes of episode 9 were stressful

Once you learn how he became Kilgrave you do feel a lil bad for Kevin. You get over it once he started juicin' lol

Well the fact that he wasn't enjoying what's going on, I did. He started out fighting back out of frustration and got carried away

You have to look at what you think is the better option. Trying to save your terminally ill kid or put him through brutal treatments to try and save him.

I am happy that Matt Smith did so well as Killgrave (I am happy any time there is some success for the doctor once they leave), very memorable character for him but...

I do wish they didn't kill him.

I know the "he is too dangerous to be kept alive" and it is dumb that heroes don't kill 'ish but I really would have liked to see him more or even expand to other shows/movies.

def a tough decision but you would think that once you learn/notice he has some powers you try to handle him with extra care to ensure he don't turn on you

the ending was kinda weak but honestly it was either gonna be weak or cliche

Was anyone else getting a Claire Underwood vibe from Hogarth? Both like to be in a position of power and do not like to lose. Underwood is just more ruthless but we saw glimpses of what Hogarth will do when under pressure; stealing the dead fetus, saying if one can harness Kilgrave's powers, and their hair styles are almost identical

Solid series overall. I will give this time to sink in and see if I have the same feeling as I did with DD over time.

Imo they both have similar traits in that the best episodes were in the middle of the season with good but not mind blowing finales.

I will say that episodes 10-13 were missing something, not sure what it is yet. It just was not as engaging as the first 9. Maybe it was the Kilgrave escaped and there was not as much Jessica x Kilgrave dialogue because all their scenes were great together, from the police station, inviting her back to her old home, her trying to make him see what it is like to be a hero, all fantastic stuff.

All the best villains are when you understand their motivations and David Tennant did a great job at showcasing why Kilgrave is the way he is.

Probably the haircut she had to get for the role. But with Hogarth she was a solo act and Claire was part of a duo, at least for a while.

The last episodes had too much pressure on the writes because they put Kilgrave on a massive pedestal and had to try to figure out how to close it out logically

Oh yeah, my bad. Matt is the next Doc after David.

Just glad they didn't give him the Eccleston treatment.

I turned to my wife when she first appeared and said "That chick from "The Matrix" looks and acts like Claire Underwood with darker hair".

You mean David Tennant.

EDIT - Seems that's been addressed already

Matt Smith as Kilgrave would've been an interesting take though

I wish they kept Killgrave's weird real name, Zebediah  instead of a cover.

They could fix the ending with some wild explanation. Weirder thing have happened
The Hand resurrects Kilgrave

jj season 2 would have to function on the aftermath of defenders series she doesnt have another nemesis enough of this i have feelin luke cage aint gonna be good unless danny rand is in there.....BRING ON IRONFIST!!!

I think it's somewhat hinted that season 2 might deal with Simpson and the IGH.

They'll probably bring in some Luke Cage or Daredevil arch-nemesis as a secondary villain for her.

Plenty Marvel villains for JJ or Luke to face.

Too quick to assume Luke can't helm his own series on his own.

I'm sure they'd have Iron Fist in some capacity in Luke Cage to help build momentum/awareness for his own show that's up next after Luke Cage. Same way they had Luke in JJ

No doubt Danny shows up in Luke's series but I'll feel it'll be just like with Luke showing up in JJ's series. It's not like she spent several eps fighting Luke's villains or something.

I'm sure Danny will sure up in a cool way, show how he becomes friends with Luke, offers some help and Luke probably says no at first and down the line he helps him out. That'll be on top of a probably JJ feature in an ep or two.
