That gif. I didn't think that was a transition to water at first. I thought it was something, more gross
Now i'm tryna see what you did......

What the hell did the monks teach these fools? They think killing one person will destroy the hand? They should be talking to daredevil and asked him how killing one hand boss worked out for him.

rand is an idiot. It's rare for me to want the main character to die. Keeps chirping about k'un lun has taught me the hand is bad and I am the iron fist and will destroy them but he left the place and didn't even want to stay there and protect it. How is the hand their great enemy and most of the students never encountered them? Maybe they should learn from stick's group who actually fights the hand regularly.

Also iron fist sounds a lot more hostile than the hand. They sound fanatical themselves.

Not really. We don't know the history of the hand so we can't say if theyre being overly dramatic or not. When burrito or whatever his name is turned on Colleen and was about to off her, that's pretty much confirms that they aren't good at all.

if night nurse really wanted to be helpful, she should have volunteered that info quick for DD to come in and consult

Binged up to ep 8.

Show isn't bad so far but I think like many had higher expectations.

Not a big fan of Danny so far either but I do like Ward's character development so far

I knew boy was gon snap

Many definitely had high expectations due to the quality of the other shows and also this is the first show in which people had preconceived notions on what they expected. I wil go out and say that damn near everyone expected this to be heavily kung fu based and it wasn't. That alone has people disappointed

he had no problem breaking their other rules, actually the biggest rule he was given so I don't think coffee is much of stretch for him

If night nurse isn't the one to bring the four together, I will be disappointed.
I mean at this point.. kinda gotta wonder why she aint telling these people more of what she knows

it better not be something dumb like something happening to here and triggering them all getting together.. when chick could have just said, well I know these people who could help out with this

Na I just want her to bring them together on some Agent Coulson tip.

'I don't think you can handle this on your own, you need backup. Lemme call a friend who I think can help you.'

'I don't think anyone can help me.'

Luke Cage shows up. A bullet bounces off of him.

'Yea you're right, he can help.'

I honestly don't see any way that Claire doesn't link them all together......Other than JJ and LC, the other's don't know each other formally. We don't need a "everyone is fightin the hand solo and intrude on one another, they're at odds but then team up" That'd be stupid and a waste of time. I think it needs to be Claire finally smartening up, linking them up. Matt has to do some legal gymnastics to get Luke out the bing, etc etc.

^ which should have happened in this.. I mean at least have DD show up for a episode or 2.. something

at the very least have a convo about the whole thing.. more than alluding to folks and the stuff that happened

scumbag destroyed colleen bae's life.

What is stick's group called? They should tell the monks and weak fist to step aside and let them handle stuff.

it looks like Sigourney Weaver is another corporate hand villain int he defenders

I hope the re-upped on the ninjas because I want wave after wave of ninjas coming after them like in DD2

Better make sure none of those ninjas are businessmen with a pistol or else IF will just run away again

If Sigourney Weaver's character comes at him with a handgun, he will probably just hide behind the homie Luke Cage

*edit

Damn that Harold IF scene is really going to bother me for a long time. Not sure how the director played that footage back and thought that was ok.
You seemed to be nitpicking hard on that especially since you were initially wrong about him dropping the gun

I'm pretty sure all the monks would have no problem killing Stick and his crew if they got in his way word to Davos.

I don't understand the route they went with The Hand in Iron Fist. Even before we were introduced to the "sanctuary", none of them seemed threatening at all compared to the ruthless Hand members we saw in Daredevil. They just seemed like generic henchmen to me. For example, those two bodyguards that Madame Gao had in China? There's no way in hell that one of the masterminds of The Hand would have such ordinary dudes with axes to protect her. Maybe they had to tone them down to match a non threatening Iron Fist?

This is why I think the fault lies much more with the writing than casting.
She lost her real killers when Danny destroyed them in that challenge.

Its clear there's a power struggle in the Hand. She probably losing some sway. Notice nobody came to save her from Book to.

Same thing in DD s2 when Yoshioka showed up as a Hand leader. Gao was ghost.

You not gon be saying when Danny pulls through with the double fist

He doesn't even consistently use one fist. They didn't teach him much. Didn't know how to heal people or recharge his chi. bakuto had to teach him.

Which is why he isn't the Iron Fist y'all know him as yet. He just got the title. He still has to master control of his anger to become the wise person he is, and master control over how to utilize his chi. I thought that was clear the angle they were going for. There's no reason to show Orson Randall fight the way he does and seemingly have better control over the IF. Writing has been sketchy at times, but I believe the angle they went for was that he still has much to learn.

it wasn't that clear, he didn't even know he could heal with his powers so it's not like he knew it was an ability that he just hasn't learned, he kept bragging about being the IF and the sworn enemy of the hand and how he'd kill them all and he's the immortal weapon and he can do what he wants, blah blah blah...

plus they sure made him capable enough practically beating anyone and everyone they put in front of him but dude doesn't even know how to recharge his chi

like I'd understand if he was actually badly beaten like when DD was on his deathbed or LC stopped healing and the torpedo bullet was killing him, IF wasn't really in that big of a danger and him learning his training isn't complete was brushed off quickly

I'd understand if he was so good but then badly beaten (not tricked or deceived) then has to learn that he is still a novice then that would work, but nope, despite how crappy he looks fighting he was still OP for the most part

if they want to make him a novice and still has to learn something, then show that, not brag that he is the Iron Fist and he was already put on the gates as the protector of KunLun

I mean you're going to put your least experienced to guard the gate because his hand glowed? why not put 5-10 warriors at the gate til Danny learns everything?
