I've never been in this position where something I've been looking forward to watch has been critically slammed. This must be how DC fans feel like.

I'm still defiant right now but if this is trash in going in and from what I've read it's not trash.

Its just ppl were expecting something that would take everything to the next level. To me that's Defenders.

Plus when I look bad at the other 3 series while great in their own way that ball have their not as entertaining parts especially given how different the subgenres are and tones while remaining in a closely connected and shared universe.

To me it's about the take of IF. DD was this nourish action, JJ was mystery with some psychological thriller, and LC was straght up modernized blaxploitation.

Mixing the martial arts action with the rich 1% can be great depending on the take of the wealthy p you're focusing on. I would've copped out and made one of the Meachums American Psycho Patrick Bateman.

The common theme I'm getting from the reviews is that the show is boring. If that's their complaint I'm willing to slug it. Some of these shows I binge on Netflix and other apps are super slow the first half of the season.

Boring is not a theme. It's an opinion.

And I'm hearing that based on the entire series being a slow burn.

Critics have only watched the first 6eps or something like that. Had they seen the whole thing spoilers would already be out.

Solid first episode. Sets up the storyline well without taking 2 to 3 episodes. Think I will enjoy this.

Really glad they took care of that "twist" with Wards dad in the first episode instead of dragging it out.

First two episodes been pretty good and not boring at all. They're actually kind of moving pretty swiftly too.
