I loved her as Jane.. just don't see her as a comic book superhero. But I thought the same thing about Tobey MaGuire and he did very well, time will tell.

I agree. Imo ritter is not that good of an actress.
Any reason as to why they chose her? Besides her being on one of the greatest shows of all time?

Just finished it, feels like I'm super late to the party 
A lot of these comic book movie have struggled with villains....often times they come across as very shallow 1 dimensional characters, probably because in 2 hours you can only develop so much while still focusing in the heroics of the heroes....for example Ronan, Red Skull, Iron Monger, Whiplash, Killian, ULTRON, Electro, Lizard, Milikith (spellcheck) all are pretty forgettable.....glad they had 13 episodes to give us a well developed heroe and a very very good villain, probably one of the best on screen villains to date...I put him up there with Heath, Loki, Fassbender....only reason why Heath will reign supreme is because he blew us away in a little over 2 hours....kingpin had 13 episodes...we got to see why he is the way he is, at times I felt sympathy for him, sometimes I almost felt he was genuine, his tone, his demeanor...I mean why some don't like him as a villain i dont understand....he was great.
Cox as Murdock was amazing too....I feel Daredevil wouldn't ever succeed as introduced in a 2 hour movie, but in this platform the character shined....love the actor portrayal, he was really believable....I'm starting to think this is the way Spidey will finally come out the gutter it's been for years....give Spidey a late budget and place him on a network.....Netflix or even HBO....could you guys imagine!?
Have them all part of one cohesive universe like they did with Daredevil and now you have the option of throwing them in as cameos into your actual movies with no need for an introduction and having audiences go crazy....I have high hopes to see Matty one day make a cameo on one of the big blockbusters.
Anyways, awesome first season 9.5/10 only reason I won't give it a perfect score in my book is because I feel they wasted Wesley....the whole first 9 episodes i was waiting for him to spaz and break someone's skull....to have Karen fill him with holes was disappointing....

Yea i was pissed and shocked that they offed old boy. He was my favorite character. Wish him and the other dude that got killed could be around in season 2

And Yes I think they OFFed Wesley and Ben prematurely....they were very dope characters

They made several references to it in the show but if you've seen the Spiderman cartoon then you just know that Wilson Fisk is the Kingpin.

Just finished the season up pretty good so far. The episode where Foggy finds out that Matt is DareDevil his acting was horrible crying like a whiny little baby. I would have slapped him just like Vito slapped Johnny Fontane. Other than that pretty good so far All the chicks on the show are hot Karen>Marci>Vanessa>Claire.

D'Onofrio's performance was different. It's kind of a breath of fresh air for Marvel villains.

Wouldnt have cared if DD kept the durag over his face for the whole series.
Love how each character is well developed.
Though it was cool to see Fisk doing reg **** like dating,having breakfast, getting stressed at work. Shows he's human and still an
animal at the same time.

At that point in the series I actually found her to be pretty hypocritical and began to dislike the character.
I can always get in tune with a show when they show certain things as a line they won't cross or a point of no return and even enjoy the struggle of it that characters go through. So when it's killing, I'll adapt. Once something like a Dexter or Breaking Bad or Lost lets you know this is now apart of how things work and is an option you can see the characters differently and predict things with that option in mind. Once you start killing there's a whole new set of rules and many shades of gray, you can no longer go back to your black and white morality.
So while Matt is spending a few eps really struggling with it. While we get opinions and views sort of from both sides. Right after the old lady they were trying to help gets murdered. This chick just ups and does it :x Now Wesely was dumb for even having that loaded gun on the table and yes at first she was scared thinking she might die but dude makes it clear what he wants her to do. This was a straight up in cold blood no justification sort of thing. You automatically become a hypocrite when you try to hop back behind that line and throw stones at Fisk trying to do **** the legal way (not that I feel she go off and try to be the Punisher but to me she's no longer an innocent). Not to say Wes at some point didn't deserve to die but not by her at that moment
I hope in S2 she gets exposed and goes to prison. There was really no time to grill her or for it to come out and it was almost coming off like a perfect murder cuz I think Fisk just disappeared the body as things began to fall apart but I hope she gets what's coming to her.
I mean I'm not sure about her either but that's cuz of the character but I'm probably too use to her being a mother and happy with Luke Cage now.
Thing is she really isn't a superhero and when the synopsis she's a failed former superhero, she really did fail. She was never fit for it in that way (costume, secret id, etc.). I'd say expect nothing like DD but in that same tone someone a bit more cynical and damaged or at least that's what should be portrayed. I only know Ritter's work from being Jane on BB and that B in Apt 23 so I really haven't seen if she has the talent to do this. I remember liking the other chick rumored for the role.
One cool thing about Fisk was how quickly and almost easily he was always able to acquire willing and eager loyal right hand men.
I expect probably in S3 when Fisk is released he'll have a new guy that might even put Wesley to shame (putting a loaded gun a table with an able bodied hostage
)The Russian brother is dead. I want to see Gao pop up in the Iron Fist series just for the cohesion.
